Do recalled pilots keep their longevity for pay purposes? Or does someone who was furloughed their first year at UAL go back to $30/hr?

I think UAL is doing what any smart small business would. Like the free ride our little illegal neighbors are taking in this country, UAL is using politics to bleed the tax payer for everything they can. 2. A pass to pay their outstanding bills at LAX, SFO, DIA and ORD.

3. The privilege of self-looting by senior management.

Comair, Mesaba, Pinnacle, NWA, AA, and possibly even MESA are furloghing. Delta has over 500 pilots on furlough with no recalls. Usairways has 1900 furloughed and is probably furloughing more as they park more aircraft. United is a long way from hiring off the street. CAL is the only major hiring. I hardly call it a hiring boom.

How many taxes and fees did the legacy carriers like UAL pay over many years that allowed facilities like the ones you mentioned to grow and prosper in the first place?

Speaking of looting, how about the UAL-looting Captain X scab that started your operation?

Usairways has 1900 furloughed and is probably furloughing more as they park more aircraft.

There are so many pilots leaving US Airways through normal retirements, resignations and medicals that even though they are parking aircraft, there will probably be no need to park airplanes.
