United Settles "Cockpit Porn" Case

I was surprised when I showed up at CAL and noticed these planes were spotless... Guess Continental went through the same thing several years ago where a pilot was looking for porn, found it, and sued.

What is United's male/female flight crew ratio? Let's say it's 5% female. And then let's say half of them prefer the company of, er, other women. That leaves about 1 in 40 female flight crew members who might enjoy a hidden meat rocket adorning their vag-pit. Astute "porn placers" (obviously deranged, filthy-minded mechanics....) should then be coached by management to accommodate this minority. I think most of us can handle a 1 in 40 chance of being offended for the sake of political correctness by such shenanigans, and viola! - no more frivolous lawsuits!

My next to last write up, after the "transponder doesn't work in the OFFicial position" one, was "porn missing from [...insert aircraft-specific secret porn containment device location here...].:nuts:

Nearly 20 years ago, when I was working on my instrument rating, my ground school instructor was one of the first female captains at Braniff (on the BAC111). She told the class about about how porn in the cp is par for the course. She said one month she got a line with a female FO. So what they did was went out and bought a bunch of Playgirl mags and replaced all the pictures. For a while there were rumors of a bunch of gay pilkots at Braniff.

Did you notice FOX didn't mentioned that she found the pictures being TAPED to the stick shakers...more than 20 TIMES.

Nowhere--including in the Seattle Times article--was the porn referenced as located anywhere but "hidden"--including taped "under the cap" of the stick shaker.

This...person of XX chromosomes...could only have found the offending material by making a detailed search for it. The fact that she "grounded herself" tells me that she didn't really like flying, was undoubtedly a hysterical Oprah-worshiper and was trying to find an easy way to suck the blood from the system. She had a lawyer all too happy to accommodate her.

Or if hidden porn is so offensive, why did she not mind working at a retail store in a prior life where the stuff was actually sold? (And I assume that at least a few times she may have sold it herself, thought the Seattle Times article doesn't get into details).

Oh, and it is indeed a cockpit, not a flight deck, just like a rooster says "cock-a-doodle-do" and not some other stupid PC substitute.

UAL is an atrocious company stacked with pilot-hating robber baron upper management. Who could blame her for wanting to take them to the cleaners? I don't.

I wish more pilots there could get away with this crap....call it replacing the pension that was stolen from them....
