You've followed a chimp who chose to lump some religious fanatics with an entire nation. And then waged war on that entire nation.

When you say "they", remember who you are talking about: A loosly organized group of religious fanatics who do not share a nation, region, language, ethnicity, etc. Attacking Iraq was a mistake. Some of us have been saying it since the beginning, and but the self-righteous chicken hawks didn't listen. Our country will be paying the price for generations.

But you would be at the head of the line demanding why we didn't do more to stop them if there is another attack. Nicely put...I'm with H2, You simply cannot appease these people. There religious fervor does not allow you to rationally reason with them. What's more criminal is there leaderships ability to persuade uneducated or malcontent young Muslims to do their dirty work. If indeed they thought there would be 52 virgins and martyrdom waiting in Nirvana.....why aren't they first in line?

I'm not saying ALL Muslims are this way but you gotta wonder if the Catholics or another mainstream religion had a faction perpetuating these atrocities, You would hope that there would be a out cry from the main stream denouncing this barbarism. Aside from a few mullah's here and there, the SILENCE from the majority is deafening.

Do you wish that these guys never served in the armed forces ??? That's a bit disrespectful don't you think ? Are we supposed to be over in Iraq and Afghanistan serving cookies orchestrating an outreach program for the terrorists ? I was under the impression that the function of a soldier is to kill the enemy. I distinctly remember signing a piece of paper essentially saying I'd be willing to drop weapons when I was applying for my UPT slot. They don't make you do that for nothing and it's not because their looking for Home Ec. majors either... How any American could read the transcipts of that CVR and not feel good about the idea of unloading a 1000 lb. bomb on a building (or car, shed, bunker, etc...) full of these barbarians is frankly beyond me... Do you think those pilots over there are saying after they drop their weapons, "Gee that was a shame those insurgents/terrorists couldn't have gotten an education and done something good with their life..." Give me a break...

I have no desire to look for the good in Saddam Hussein. Just as I have no desire to look for the good in Kim Jong Il, or the warlords who have overseen the deaths of around 2 MILLION people in the Sudan.

The war in Iraq is draining us financially and far too many lives have been lost for George Bush's war.
