Why do almost all the UAL radio transmissions have so much irritating background noise in them? Are you guys using hand held microphones 6 inches from your mouths or something? They sound awful. Just listen to your flights compared to other airlines. Most headset microphones have a sponge wrap that cut out air and background noise. You all should really look into them.
 
Demmit. Was hoping flopgut got caught stuck mic being douchie-er than our 3G guy.
Guess we're still king on that front...

Nope, not a lot, but I'm tired of having to turn down the volume every time a UAL aircraft transmits and then having to turn it back up when he's done. They sound like someone flying a single engine noisy prop plane with a cheap microphone. If you listen you'll see what I mean.

That would describe the 737 perfectly. If you don't get noise reduction headsets you'll lose your hearing and the boom mic that's just an open tube doesn't block any ambient noise.
