I heard the same amount of slots, but only as a rumor through the grapevine. Anybody now when they will officially settle if this rumor has any legs to it?

us air didn't want the twu to be involved in this case. the doj didn't want them involved. so why are they involved? They say they are in favor of the merger seems all this gonna do is slow things down.

I kinda hope it's not true . That's too much to give up in dc. We need all the advantages of this merger to make it work long term.

Why doesn't the judge just tell the DOJ that they will have to wait until the fares actually do skyrocket before bringing a case? Then if they want to strip US of slots they can go for it, Sword of Damocles' - style.
