us air didn't want the twu to be involved in this case. the doj didn't want them involved. so why are they involved? They say they are in favor of the merger seems all this gonna do is slow things down.

The thing is nobody knows what will happen. We can find things that make us feel better but none of us know what the judge thinks or what the strategy for both pairs will be in court. Either way we'll all know in a few months and it will be final. Until then we can speculate and argue till we are red in the face but there isn't anyone more credible than the other and its just wasted energy.

I agree, however I wouldn't turn down a job merger or no merger.

Comfortable RJ jobs are built from mainline concessions and consequently make the mainline positions less comfortable. The goal should be to preserve the quality of the end goal, not manage expectations to accept mediocrity as success.
