Here is a spin... AA just corner 2k pilots from eagle with the mainline carrott. That is 2 thousand less pilots applying to other carriers. Less competition for all of us.

Thank you !!

The great thing is... AA will still hire 70% off the street too.. The pilot pool just got even smaller for the legacies

I already got an email from pilotpool.com that's telling me to apply to Eagle ASAP to take advantage of the flow through. Looks like they're definitely using it as an incentive to attract more candidates.

Every pilot on Eagle property as of 10/11/2011 will be offered employment at AA. A minimum of 35% per class will be Eagle pilots. If Eagle furloughs, then the minimum will be raised to 50% per class. Eagle can limit the pilots they let go to a maximum of 25 per class. This is after the 240 flow throughs go and the 824 pilots from Eagle go at 50% per class.

Yea that's great, when they furlough after the sale in a year all these pilots will be on the street unable to give up there eagle number because of the promise.

Why would they be unable to give up their Eagle number? Also, FWIW, if Eagle furlough's because of AA taking other feed, AA is "supposed" to "negotiate" preferential hiring for those pilots furloughed at the airline taking over feed.
