Couldn't tell what kind it was, maybe a Baron or something slightly larger. It pancaked in by an abandonded shop and was too scorched to ID.

The media geniuses are covering the scene. One reporter asked a witness if he could tell if there was anyone on board at the time it crashed.

Another witness said he heard a plane doing continuous loops and thought that he might be a professional pilot because he was so low.

It's about 700 overcast here with moderate rain at the time of the crash.

You obviously haven't watched ATL TV news....:)

I hate ATL. I really, really do.

Bad news. Horrible customer service. Terrible traffic. P!ss-poor entertainment. Sucky weather. Corrupt government.

I wish I could move to... well, he!!, anywhere. I'd go back to Knoxville if my mother wasn't still there.

Doug Richards from Fox5 reports........the plane corkscrewed in almost like the tail rotor had gone out.
This is obviously not a funny event, but that made me laugh out loud.

While I'm at it, God bless the pilot and the (newly-reported) passenger. That must have been terrifying.

Mr. Private Pilot bar b que restaurant employee says that he saw the plane do three loops and then on the forth it entered the overcast and then came out in a flat spin.

Listening to these people is painful. Now they have "eyewitness" reports being called in.

"It was pandelirium! We thought we would be killed, or even worse!"

Looks like he pancaked in.
