So, it's come full circle... Myself and another ex-Avantair guy flew a former Avantair owner out of Kenorra, Ontario yesterday in our TMC-issued Beechjet.

The aviation world is a small one indeed...

please be careful there, ive heard a lotta bad stuff about that place. No job is worth your life.
 
One of our former pilots, gave two weeks notice at TMC and was fired on the spot.

Not to defend TMC.... but that is actually industry standard in 121 world, if you give notice you turn in your id and company stuff immediately.

Didn't happen at my former 121 gig a few years ago. You had to give 2 weeks notice to get your vacation pay.

Not at our place, we fly you to your last day, need the two weeks to get vacation pay. But we are also, or used to be pretty generous, like a guy gets a call from Atlas to fill a class slot next week (this is years ago), we wished him well and let him go.
 
Geting fired after giving two weeks notice is pretty standard at smaller 135 companies, they tend to take things more personally than at 121 carriers.
