Trans States Getting ATRs

Trans States seems to be going back in time. They are looking at getting ATRs again. WTF.

In retrospect I overreacted but there was a reason AMR and ASA keep the ATRs in the lower latitudes...

Because they are turboprops and they don't have a reason to go any higher. TSA used to have J31s, J32s (I think), J41s, ATR42s and ATR72s.

The source was an internal memo sent out stating there was going to be an ATR at Signiture Flight Services across the field at STL on OCT 3, as a static display and then a demo ride for anyone interested. There has been speculation as to when and really if we are going to get these planes, but MX seems to think we are getting them and they will be used for some of our short haul stuff out of STL maybe for United out of IAD. Who knows if this will happen, just have the memo and some rumors going around for now.

At least it's a round turboprop. Those square airplanes are just freaky.
