I have many friends at the regionals who are in their 20's & 30's and are pulling down six figures and they live in base and love their jobs. Also, most of them have no desire to give up their QOL and six figure incomes to move on to a "major". Boo-Hoo if a 21 year old has to make $20K for his 1st year and 30K for his 2nd year. Enjoy the sour grapes.

Who let this guy in? Have a little fun. You have got to have one backpack, spike hair, ipod, job destruction, 200 hour wonder comment somewhere in your soul.

Here is an easy one:

Bud Light Solutes you Mr. 200 Hour pilot guy! Sunglasses check, Backpack check, iPod check, place you take a chic once you use the pilot line... Mom's house.

Backup Singers: SHHH my parents are home.

Inspiration for a screenplay called The Regional Jet Redemption.

A young man makes a tragic mistake, finds himself in a prison of a career where after he is institutionalized, he is violated physically, emotionally, politically and financially.............

Man it is too easy to draw prison analogies to a career at the regional airline level..........

OK OK, but... would you rather be an RJ pilot responsible for 50 pax or a school teacher responsible for 50 students. Starting pay is about the same.

Quote Wow, talk about having no Class! You sir are a straight up a$$hole.

your point and my point are the same.

No, a mechanic ramming a hangar wall and walking away is very different than an accident which took the lives of 52 people.

Garbage like you posted makes me never want to visit FlightInfo again. Where are the moderators?

Get your head straight.

hopefully this era is over but it should be mentioned:

Top ten uses for regional jets ....

...keeping a 20 something year old employed while a 20 plus years of service airbus/boeing driver hits the street.

Awwww, how cute. If only that "20+" year of service Boeing driver had fought hard to keep RJs on mainline properties back in the 90s, then all this RJ undercutting crap wouldn't have had to happen. Not the "20 something year olds" fault that RJs were farmed out to regionals so a few senior guys could hold onto good/bigger jets/pay/schedules.

8) commute killers

That's my favorite one! American turned STL into an RJ hub after 9/11. My commute: ORF-STL.

Do you know how many times I watched my commuter flight leave me behind (and 1 or 2 empty cabin seats) because of that stupid zero fuel weight problem on the EMB145's? Just one of the many reasons I retired at 50!

They sure seem to good for generating less than favorable responses from passengers.
