When I was in recall class a few months ago - the new hire coordinator actually (had to, so he says) brief the newbies on Uniform wear. He mentioned the backpacks..Ipod...hats...etc.
The guys who were with me that were hired in the 90s and early 00s were sitting there with one eyebrow up in disbelief that he actually had to stress this.

On the AVRO 6 years..never broke 100K even with perdiem...did not live in base. You must have worked your butt off. Still, pay rates get stuck about that $105-108 range at the top of the scale. I had 26 years left...glad I was able to make the jump and have never regreted it ...ended up at a better place.

Congrats on moving on. I have been trying but havne't found that "better place" yet. Turned down a few good gigs and happy I did. Where did you end up flying a Bus?
