Whether you love them or hate them, the Mormons are generally a very self sufficient people who are devoted to their families and country. If more Americans possessed these traits our nation would not be in the mess it finds itself currently. Those of you who feel compelled to bash these people are the ones I worry about and ask why are you so consumed by them?

On a positive note, I do support polygamy. That one of the smartest things mormons did. I know mormons are no longer allowed to practice plural marriage or whatever they call it, but I'd love to have 5 pieces of tail at my disposal. :D

you are an absolute retard...I only reply to this garbage because of the humor your ranting invokes.

Bring it on, b!tch!
Again, respond thoughtfully to my questions. If Smith says every man is a prophet and God communicates through everyman, why should, say, Mr. Smith's word be final.
Just one example of the paradoxes of the Mormon Chrurch.
A few others, for your enjoyment...

LOL
Self-sufficient...except when they're hoarding welfare dollars from the US Government to fund their broke homes.

wow...are you drunk?....at least be somewhat CLOSE when you try to bring up doctrine. What you say "Smith" said is incorrect, we do not believe such things. Just as in Bible times, there is only 1 prophet on earth at any one given time.

I really question your mental stability. Do you wear any special head gear to focus the vortex of insanity you possess?

awesome post....way to go!

Whaleroast is getting all fired up, but is it really him? Maybe this is his wife with all of her "bible thumping" knowledge using his screen name. Maybe if you and she took some more time in learning your own religion and not spending time bashing others, you would be a happier man.

This is one of the interesting things about Mormons, we don't spend any time at all learning to bash or put down other religions. We don't have the right, nor the time. We have better things to do.....maybe you should try it. Get your wife's permission first, though. I don't want you to make her mad.

I'm sorry but i have to chime in quick on this one then i'm out. I grew up Mormon and was able to get out as a young adult. I know about the doctrine and the teachings and I have extensively studied a half dozen other religions and come up with my own views and spirituality. Most Mormons have not done this and have in fact, only ever studied Mormonism and at that, only internally and not academically.

This being said, when you come into my house with your home teacher manuals, or your white shirt and little black tie and try to explain to me that despite my travels and my research, and even though i am very fulfilled where i am spiritually, i am still not going to enjoy God's full devine reward because i do not belong to the "one true religion". How exactly is this not bashing other people's faith? This is in fact one of the most exasperating aspects of this religion. You are insulting me and my beliefs by doing this. The fact that you do it with a quiet gleam of superior knowledge in your eye does'nt mean you are not "bashing". It's actually that much more insulting.

Remember that the next time you do your home teaching...

that's it, i'm done now

LOL, You should talk...what was it Smith wore when he decoded those tablets he found in upstate New York? Goggles? Seerer stones? Crystal balls?

Well if you have something specific that makes this quote credible then please share it with us. I am sure there are mormons who abuse the government welfare programs just like the baptists, catholics, jews, and anyone else...so what your point?

I say again, why are you so consumed by these people. Leave them alone and let them do what makes them happy. There are other far more dangerous groups to go hunt.

Since you appear to be a follower of the teachings of Jesus, let me give you some specific advice that you should understand:

Why don't you go and do what Jesus recommended in the good book (Sermon on the Mount) and learn to love your enemies and do something good for a mormon...honey is always preferred over vinegar if you're trying to convince someone to do something your way.

Until you can demonstrate some modicum of christian charity you are no better (and most likely far worse) than any mormon you feel compelled to denigrate here.

Does the word "hypocrisy" mean anything to you?

If not, then ask your wife to quote Matthew 7:5 to you.

"Dumb, dumb, dumb, dumb, dumbbbb!"

Arguably one of the funniest episods South Park has ever done. They did a fine job of nailing this on the head! :D

Heh heh, just finished watching that episode via your link. Funny. I don't see how southpark gets away with that language on television, given the highly censored world we live in, where "everybody's offended by something."

Gotta give it to mormons, they are very nice people. I didn't know that they thought the garden of eden is in Jackson County, MO. Personally, I really havent began to think about where I believe the garden of eden was, so Jackson County, MO is as good a place as any for all I care. And also a little fishy how those golden tablets are nowhere to be found now and there is no concrete proof they ever existed to begin with. I guess when people have no logical explanation for something, they simply put it under the "faith" umbrella.

It only makes sense that since the mormon faith was invented here in America, then they want to believe that everything else was here, too (like adam and eve living in Jackson County, Missouri).
Some black people will tell you that Jesus was a black man. I've heard drunk rednecks justify their drinking by saying "well jesus drank wine" LOL I guess it's all relative.

Whaleroast....calm down, dude. Chickens running around? Your dad shooting them, bla bla where in the world do you live? Sounds like maybe you should get out more. Closet seem a little dark? Anyway, keep spouting and getting all worked up, that's cool. Mormons are the fastest growing religion in the world, maybe because all of the kids we are supposed to have. ha ha ha. And those back pack wearing guys on bikes doing the "dirty work" are 60,000+ strong in almost all areas of the world. You are the equivalent of a man trying to stop a speeding locomotive.....keep pushing guy, we'll see how it works out for you.

Speaking about how the mormons are growing so rapidly, just this morning, I read that the church has over 60 billion (not million) dollars. I'm not picking on just the mormons, as I'm positive that the catholic church, as well as all the christian churches have alot of $$ in the bank as well. I thought every religion was supposed to be "non-profit".
If every member paid their 10% for tithe every sunday, that a tremendous income for the church. Let's say I make 100,000 per year. 10% of that is more than alot of people's monthly rent!! No wonder the churches have so much $$$.

I wish I flew for the LDS church.....the airline industry kinda licks right now. Truthfully, they don't have any airplanes.

Anyway, I'm done with this post. It's been fun, but people are getting all worked up and probably saying things they shouldn't on this forum. Tryin to be a good Christian and Mormon, I hope everyone flies safe and has long, fulfilling careers.

I've stayed out of this debate this whole time, but I just have to say that I'm greatly offended, as a true Christian, by the fact that you'd try to pass yourselves off as a Christian. You can't be Mormon AND a Christian (in the Biblical sense), despite what your leaders and doctrine tell you.

You call yourselves Christian, but you don't believe in the same Bible and the same beliefs that all other real Christians do. I can call myself Catholic, but that doesn't make me Catholic if I don't believe in the Catholic faith and beliefs.

The Mormons have a very loose belief in being Christian, and they are being misleading when they tell people who don't know better that they are Christian. You can point to a few selected areas in your bible that makes it appear that way, but your doctrine and ours is totally different.

For those interested in the truth, why Mormons aren't true Christians, below is provided a couple great links for you to brush up on (complete with proper references):

I guess that wasn't my last post, but I feel the need to respond. The name of our church is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, we have the King James version of the Bible. I have no idea which one you use so maybe we do have different bibles. Again, if you want to spend all of your time learning to find fault with our religion....I feel sorry for you. I would sure like to know what church you belong to which gives you the right to judge someones Christianity, on second thought, I don't want to know. I'm done.

This is from the Oxford Dictionary:
Christianity....NOUN= Religion based on the person and teachings of Jesus Christ.

We are the Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter Day Saints. Christian in EVERY sense of the word.
