"It's a system that cannot guarantee the safety of passengers on a commercial flight," Goldman said by phone Friday. "It should never be flown in these kinds of conditions."

Goldman, also a pilot, faulted the crew for flying on autopilot, which he said concealed signs of trouble until it was too late.

A search of the FAA airman records turns up two Ronald Goldmans.. one in LA and the other's address is not on file. Both Hold a might Private SEL certificate...

This of course definitely qualifies him to determine not only the best way to fly a large Turboprop, but also to assess the effectiveness of pneumatic boots.

Wake up Ron, there are no systems guaranteed to work.
 
1. There is ONE pilot and ONE helper. No matter who's screw up it was, blame will go to the PIC.

2. Doesn't matter what the attorney knows or doesn't know. It's about $$. He will build a case to convince a jury (you can safely bet that ANY pilot will be excluded therefrom) that this is SOMEBODY's (with deep pockets) fault and they should be made to pay for there intentional willingness to kill these people.
 
If the passengers (and person on the ground) died due to pilot error then Colgan/Pinnacle should get sued. Simple as that. Let the facts come out through the investigation and sue if pilot error is ruled the primary factor. The lawyers will start suing anyway regardless. I am sure the insurance companies are sweating right now...

There is no requirement to wait for the NTSB before suing, settling, or going to trial. If the NTSB determines something the lawyers don't want to hear (ie, the plane got hit by a meteor), the lawyers will just BS their way around it.
