Very cool Open House in MCO yesterday,

Thanks Dean, Verna, Brian, Raymond (and others) for your time and the baker that made those chocolate chip cookies.............

If you are interested in JetBlue the OH is the way to go, bring a resume and a smile to the next one. Heard (unconfirmed) rumor that there maybe one in April.....

Couple things learned yesterday:

growth 14-17% in 2007...... (more than other carriers)

300-350 pilots being hired in 2007

New Switzerland Crew Base (ok maybe not)

100 a/c strong this Friday! (
Congrats JetBlue)

Ready to start drinking the blue cool aide............

I would try to remember more and post it right now but the bottom of the sailboat needs to be scrapped and painted.

Good luck to the other OH attendees,

Donut Java Man

Actually, we have over 120 aircraft but will be receiving our 100th A320 this week. Best of luck to all.

opps~ I guess I wont get the call, I was not paying close enough attention!
dang it all...... :-)

Thx for the correction b6driver

Did you have to empty the garbage cans when it was all over?

They may have a higher % growth rate than other airlines, but they are probably going to lose more money than the others as well.:uzi:

Why yes I did and that was the best part..........

JetBlue still doesn't have to pay for any of A/c they fly either

Little Bub..... the joke is very old now , but I guess you're a little slow to catch on, it's OK though I was a slow growing up too.

On a quick turn and/or if it means I can get off the gate 5 minutes earlier to catch a commute flight home. I've got no problems helping my sky goddesses cross a few seat belts or put a few cans of soda away. Like wise I have no problems accepting a profit sharing check for work well done.

If Jetblue is not your thing fine because I probably really don't want to work beside a slacker anyhow........ I'm not trying to insult you but I'd rather work for/with a gung ho team than be stuck on a multi-day trip with a bunch of people crying about how tough their job is and/or how bad their life is.

Here is a link for you: http://prozac.com/index.jsp

I hope it all works out and you don't jump of that bridge.........

Not only the garbage cans, but, he had to mop the floor, sweep and landscape outside and wash and wax the cars in the employee lot.

then i ran out bought a toliet brush and scrubbed all the bathrooms........

On my next day off i plan to jump seat down there and pick up trash around the MCO airport............

Next?

Boy are you going to be disappointed. On both accounts.

I was referring to your comments of "Sky Goddesses" (Sky Queens is more appropriate) and "Profit Sharing". It's not as funny when you have to explain it.

Good Luck.

I try not to notice the queens and to be honest I don't even notice the hot FA's like I used too after getting married to a rather hot one. Sorry I ruined your joke (i was too busy "peeing on the flamers"), but I sincerely appreciate the vote of good luck.

Wow all that and he married an FA too. Good Luck all around.

A+ on the sarcasm timmay........

When I ride on one of her flt's I have to straighten the seat belts on her airplane too.......

When the weather is bad she'll sometimes let me take my balls to work too......... If the wx's good however, I have to leave them at home.

Ahead of the Bell: JetBlue
Associated Press 03.21.07, 7:32 AM ET

JetBlue Airways Corp. and UAL Corp., which operates United Airlines, headline a roster of companies presenting at the JPMorgan 2007 Aviation & Transportation Conference, which begins Wednesday.

JetBlue Chief Executive David Neelemam will open the conference and likely address the low-cost airline's rash of flight cancellations in recent weeks, as well as the operational fixes it has made since.

Analysts think JetBlue could soon issue................

Faces In The News
Delta's Battaglia Jumps Planes To JetBlue
R.M. Schneiderman, 03.21.07, 8:00 PM ET

In an effort to improve its much-criticized operations at John F. Kennedy Airport in New York, beleaguered low-cost carrier JetBlue Airways said Tuesday it had hired Delta veteran Alex Battaglia as director of operations at the airport, the airline's main hub.

On the surface, it would seem that hiring someone away from a bankrupt airline to make your company better isn't likely to be a winning move.

Yet Delta is on the ascent -- the exact opposite direction from where JetBlue appears to be heading -- and JetBlue management appears confident that Battaglia will perform.

"Alex is the perfect fit for JetBlue as we continue to grow our airline within North America," said Rob Maruster, a senior vice president at JetBlue.

"Alex's experience in the airport environment, which ranges from customer service to leadership positions, will greatly serve JetBlue, our crew members and our customers."

That's the type of help the embattled airline needs. Indeed, in the aftermath of the company's operational collapse caused by an ice storm in February, JetBlue has said it will report a negative operating margin for the first quarter. (See: "JetBlue Predicts Q1 Loss")

Battaglia's hiring comes after JetBlue decided to hire Russell Chew to replace David Barger as chief operating officer earlier this month. (See: "Chew New COO At JetBlue")

That move was much praised by analysts, yet it still remains to be seen if the airline, which specializes in point to point routes between underserved markets, can win back the trust of customers enraged by the bevy of flight cancellations and delays.

On March 16, for instance, JetBlue cancelled 215 flights, yet again due to bad weather, as ice storms bombarded the East Coast. (See "Storm Worries Ground JetBlue")

The majority of the grounded flights involved planes leaving from or going to Kennedy Airport.

Battaglia won't be able to change the weather, but perhaps he can improve how JetBlue reacts to it.
