How long would someone be on reserve out of MCO? And which base has the most diverse flying?

All the bases are diverse--Male, Female and all nationalities.

MDW is the best. Best trip density and lots of long haul. BWI is o.k. too.

But, they are balancing things out. MDW is getting some of the Texas 2 step while Dallas and Houston are getting some long haul. Still isn't as good as MDW though.

A little off topic here, but how do they determine seniority numbers in the new hire classes?

Social Security number?
Age?
Flight Time?
Arm wrestling, you know, Herb style?

Just curious about how they do that.

Hopefully one day it will be applicable!

The June vacancy bids just came out. Here are the number of new hires going to each base:

BWI- 1
MCO- 5
OAK- 41
PHX- 1
DAL, HOU, and MDW didn't have any new hires go directly there.

So you should be able to get any of those bases once you have two classes behind you, but of course things may change by the time you get here.

Anyone know when the July Vacancy bids come out? Just wondering...Thanks

26th of May approx 1400 Central time. bids close at 1200 Central. Takes a while for them to post.

PS. Is our poker chip set still getting passed down?

Yes, it is. My class, 3/22, passed it on to the class behind us. Hopefully, they're still passing it on.

BTW, all 24 of us from the 3/22 class are going to OAK for June. So for the 4 people in our class who bid for OAK...they got their first choice!

Good news is that I've now got 102 below me!

TJ,
So what is the 3/22 class' timeline?

when do you finish checkrides?
when do you accomplish IOE?
what is your hardline month?
with three classes/month (4 in May), what is the projection for being able to bid out of Oakland; how many people need to be below you?
