I'd rather shovel (fill in the blank) in LBB than listen to the General go over his rolodex mantra of kool-aid flying with DAL. Obviously the pudgy, pasty white, soft General Lee (I'm guessing his build by his prior posts) has not spent much time in LBB...the Texas Tech women are absolutely gorgeous. Oh Jesus, I'm sorry - DAL flies big airplanes with really neat autopilots to Europe...I forgot, my bad. Hey General Clown - get away from that APU exhaust hole on your 767...it's not supposed to be used for that!

Hillarious. Wow, you sound like a genius. (NOT) Guess what? CAL also used to go to LBB, but it now is an Expressjet station. Sorry about that. Enjoy EWR.

Bye Bye--General Lee

Why don't you follow your boy-friend's lead (Sen. Craig) and resign from this board.

What was his name on this board? Are you sure your buddy Craig was on this board? Really?

Does that make me cry? No. I will give my opinion on ANYTHING I want, and you should know by now that I really would NOT want to be a SWA pilot primarily because of the one type aircraft fleet, the multiple leg days, the 25 minute turns, and certain routes or cities that are undesireable. But other than that, I think your airline is just swell. As far as CAL goes, they are a great airline too, except for their crappy base locations. Can anyone disagree with me there? Nope.

Give it up HOMO...

I usually like to argue, but you sound like my 96 yearold Grandmother, this is getting old.

The facts are: Nobody likes Delta anyway, except you. I'd rather hang out with any AA, NWA, UAL or CAL Pilots over a Delta tool anyday of the week or year.

Nobody cares about your weak company, weak pay and weak work environment. And nobody would listen to any tool working for Delta that loves to talk about Southwest Airlines. I wonder if you hold yourself while you type, ahhhhhhhh Southwest, B737, 7 legs a day...............oooohhhhhhhhh LBB.

I can't wait until we serve ATL and finish what AirTran started, kicking your a$$.

Must be hard losing respect all the time General. You used to have valid insight on this board. It's a shame to see what has become of you.

I will give my opinion on ANYTHING I want,

GL, I'm serious, you need professional help. A long time ago your posts had content. It was all Delta koolaid and BS, but there was at least some information. Now your posts are nothing more that a reflection of your sad obsession with a small Texas town and a not so small Texas airline.

I am truly sorry about what has happened to your once great airline. I know that you are in mourning and deep denile, but flight info is not the place to vent your feelings and frustrations. No one here is qualified to help.

BTW, your AME should be able to refer you to a qualified councelor, in LBB or where ever your travels may take you.

When you serve ATL? Riiiiight. We are able to make a profit now regardless of what Airtran does anyway. You are AGAIN talking from your rear end. And my WEAK company? Not anymore. I would give you some mure numbers, but it is useless with you.
I think your tiny brain is melting from those hot summer days in MAF.

Huh? I am not here to gain your respect. I am here to give my own opinions, and my opinion on not wanting to have your type of schedule, single plane type, or quick turns is valid. But, that makes a few of you fuming mad. Hillarious. Also, my popularity or whatever is not waning, I get plenty of PMs from people asking me about my opinion on Delta and how to get interviews. I have never been busier. If you would like my opinion about Delta and a possible career here, then PM me too.

Once great airline? I beg to differ. I still very much enjoy it here and things are getting better. BK was not fun, but things were positioned to get us strong again, and as I have said before current DL pilots (including those who were furloughed) were given a fairly large claim to help with the pay cuts. ($280,000 total was not bad for me, along with $50,000 just given to me for my pension dump)

And, no councelor needed, especially not in LBB. Thank Gawd only you have to see that town. I have a great layover in Europe starting tonight. See ya. I'll send you a card.

Really though, I could give a rats ass about what you think about our airline. However, you seem to have some undying need to post on a thread that does not concern you or you feel the need to throw the "Delta is God" flag into the ring. I just don't get it. To top it all off, you spout off how much money you recieved after the BK, but in reality, you got screwed and that money you have would have gained you alot more in the course of your career. Suger coat it all you want, but I know you will never admit that, and that's fine. True, you faired better then most other airlines that went through BK, but your flaunting of your money is childess to say the least. Do you tell your friends and family when they come over what you make and make sure they feel insignificant to your honor?

I'm glad you get PM's regarding Delta and are willing to give your advice. However, your opinions are well known about Southwest, yet you continue to harass and taugt those that ask specific questions about subjects that would only be able to be answered by those individuals here.

I have no beef with you. Your post's are just another part of the same old crowd that like to stir the pot and instigate a flaming match to which you have many followers. You used to post with honesty and nobility that has since disappeared.

I guess some just know when to let it go and not dwell on it or take it personally.

I don't take it personally or wish to block you for the day in which you might revert back to your old self. Still waiting.

General,

I'm very familiar with Delta and it is no longer a great airline to work for. You make less than a CAL pilot and a whole lot less than a SWA pilot.

The difference is one can take the paycheck at SWA and do more with it as far as a retirment goes than you can even come close to with your pension. Give it a rest.

I don't like Delta because of the gold stripes, hats, blazer, and multiple aircraft with single legs and their destinations.

General,

Look at the title and first post of this thread. What possible information OF VALUE have you brought to this topic?

None, I wish the Mods would just ban him once and for all.

What's the old saying, "if you don't have anything nice to say...................."

General Lee your a real class act. Go back to your Delta threads and tell them how great you are. Maybe they got smart and banned you. Ah that explains it. Thanks for your useless info on this thread.

Not sure who is the bigger idiots on this board. GL or those that engage this fool?? How many times do we have to read about 7 legs and LBB and more importantly how many times will you idiots follow this ass???

I've held off as long as I could. I bolted from DAL to SWA last year. I have yet to fly a 7 leg day nor have I been to LBB - I feel cheated! ;) . In fact, I've yet to fly a 6 leg day. 5 max and that's rare. I flew more legs per day MD-88 out of ATL than I fly at SWA.

Oh, and what the General fails to mention is what are the duty days for domestic DAL vs. SWA? I will tell you - MUCH less at SWA. Say all you want about the more block we fly at SWA, but I'll take a 7 hour block and 9 1/2 duty day and go to the hotel (many good places - same hotels as DAL even! Crazy huh!) I flew the MD-88 - can't tell you how many scheduled 11+ duty days turned into 14+ with no ovetime pay kicker. Max scheduled duty day is usaully 10 or less at SWA.

I also don't miss those "productivity sits" in ATL. I guess it was a chance to shine my shoes though ...

So, here we go with the General with all those k*ck as$ Int'l trips. Great, but what about DAL's domestic operation? Give it all to the rj's? Int'l is doing great .. for now. But what about the rest?

I'm sure GL will come back with something witty - is he at 10K posts yet? I've got many buds at DAL and hope all goes well, but sure would be nice if you lost the GL somehow. Out,

Im curious Ben, what where some of the low-life MD-88 overnight citys that you stayed at? As Gential has pointed out LBB, MAF and AMA, I'm sure you had some fun places to compare it with.

Once again, a former DL pilot that speaks of the truth unlike our friend the Genital.

I believe Jackson, MS was my favorite. No offense to local residents, but that was the only hotel - at least in my civilain airline career - where I felt I should have gotten a shot of something (besides booze) before I bedded down for the night.

328, it would be a waste of time to try to tell GL how it is out here in the domestic world, so I'm sorry if I don't waste my efforts.

One thought to leave with though - I have learned since I came to SWA though that there is a general (no pun intended) perception of DAL pilots that they all have a stick up their as$. My take is that it is not true. Same dudes, various backrounds, most good guys and a few "others". GL was the exception at DAL just as I believe SWA/FO is the exception at SWA. I've flown with mostly good guys and a few as$holes at both companies.

Southwest is a great place and guys like GL are complete idiots, but I would caution against buying too hard into the "we're the best" mantra from the old skool crowd. SWA has some learning to do as well.

My two cents,

BD

I understand completly. Any company can improve and we are no exception. We are completly diffrent than DL and do things diffrently. We are not a legacy and never will be. Both airlines offer a great product, but we just do it with out the "stick up the a$$".

What's the old saying, "if you don't have anything nice to say...................."

All he said was that he didn't want to be a Southwest pilot, and gave his reasons. All of you guys then melted down.

I think you have been away too long from Delta. Most of what you say is wrong, according to my friends there. Can you really fly a 7 leg day at Southwest? How about 6? My friends at SWA have flown six leggers, especially in TX and CA. Are you sure those long productivity sits are still there in ATL? (NOT according to my friends) And you flew the MD88 at Delta? Guess what? Most of them now do old Song routes, which have two legs a day for about 7 hours credit. Sounds better than your 4-5 legs across the country. You sound bitter, and General Lee is right to slam the bunch of you. I am sure he is glad you are gone. You only flew the MD88? My friends on the ER love it. Too bad you won't ever try that, you could have had a change in attitude.

Hey look everyone, the Genital's back in his other form. Welcome back General. Man, I can't keep all your screen names straight.

Excuse me? You think I am the General? Just because someone else actually sees what you Southwest guys are doing and actually defends the General, must be the General? You sure are slick! He really is getting to you guys. You show weakness, and many of us love how he does it to you. Why do you guys keep this silly fight going? I bet he is just laughing the whole way. You are clearly losing it, along with that SWA/FO who just sounds dumb.(wait for it, SWA/FO will try to put me down for flying a Lear 45 next..even though he flew a DA20)
