Rumor...

So now I hear a rumor that my interview group (April 19) was not in the recent DB. Anyone have details? How can we possibly find out (aside from getting a letter in 2-3 days)?

I hate spreading rumors but I am looking for some verification on this one. Until then it is just a rumor.

ASA dude- you must chill. It's obvious you're about to go over the edge. I suggest ingesting about 6 beers within an hour, and then a steady diet of 2 per hour until you hear the news one way or another. Sleep should also be aided by an combination of strong medication. I just got the call to interview in June and I'm already freaking out, so I can just imagine how bad you are. Chill.

ASA dude...

Yes, please chill for your own good your gonna get a bleading ulser man...I am in the same boat you are...and yes I'm freaken. The 2 RedBull's I just sluggoed down aren't helping either!! To make things even more interesting...guys in my class got the call yesterday, here I sit with my 42" skateboard by my side, buzzing on RedBull, thinking about my gal that just dumpped me a few days ago...waiting for the call, although, it looks more likely at this point to wait by the mail box. I've already accepted the fact that I didn't kiss enough ass in the past, and I'm not going to kiss anymore. FukUm...WTFOver?

Stiff as a goat...Later brother, Peace & Love---I wish you the bestO! Cya, Sluggo

When I didn't get a call, I called the people department. She told me that the calls would continue through the end of the week. Letters should arrive on Monday. She told me that I would receive a letter by Monday. I guess I'll see them next year. At least I haven't had to buy the type yet. I have to count my blessings where they lay. Good luck to you!

Hang in there, Captain! I don't think it's alphabetical, anyway. Recently it seems to be geographical, as each chief pilot goes home with a list to call. But who knows? Just try not to jump every time the phone rings, and tell your friends that you'll kill them if they call you.

I got a call today..........:D .......from a buddy who got the call from the HOU CP yesterday.

What a guy...got through first try. Hopefully my 2nd (feb07) will be my "call".

Well I didn't get called today, I guess one more day to think this over can't hurt (I'm already crazy). Interviewed the third week of April, one guy in my group got it so far and one did not (found out by calling PD). Best of luck to everyone tomorrow, and I really do mean it! We can't quit now, we've all got to much invested (mostly mentally)I'll be plugging at it again next year.

Frac Cap
Yes the call came up as unknown on the caller ID. The BAL chief pilot called my home phone first, left me a message and then called my cell phone. I was lucky that I heard in ringing I was on the beach in Clearwater trying to relax.
Good luck to you, hope you from them soon.

Yes the call came up as unknown on the caller ID

FYI,The whole SWA phone system will come up that way be DAL, MDW, ect.

No call yet...Tick tock...

Well it looks like the "LUV" train is leaving without me, for the second time. No tickee - no ridee. I guess I'll be going to that info gathering in June.

sorry to hear that ASA Capt. as for the caller id thing. The couple of times that i was called about the interview came up with the DAL area code. Hope that helps :)

Noooooooooo!

Sorry to hear that! I'm sure you gave it your best shot, so no regets. That's all you can do. My bud went into the PHX cp's office & he had a list of the pilots getting called & asked if I was on there. I wasn't. I am not sure if each cp from different bases has different lists...?? Anyone know? A Weiner

Good luck to us all.

How long does it take to make the calls?? Does anyone know any info on how this part of the process works??

lets reverse engineer this

Just wondering if any commonalities exist for SWA interview fails? Maybe this could be reverse-engineered.

For those who got the letter, did you....

Have prep?
Dress Casual or formal/suit-tie?
"Feel" like you did good?
Have IP/Check Airmen time?
etc?

a buddy interviewed last year and also got the letter shortly thereafter. He is top notch guy, degree, 5000 TT, 3000 PIC EFIS jet time, blah blah blah, and he got the letter. Nice guy, clean cut, "likeable", etc.

:(
