A SWA friend of mine just said that you guys are about to vote in a concessionary contract.

Whats up with that?

I hope not, but everything is rumor & conjecture at this point. Still needs final language, BoD approval, and THEN we get to see & approve the turd.

Is it an actual pay cut? I heard that the 401k match was increased. You guys should take that and run.

All I've heard is 3% pay increase, increased 401K match, full retro and NO DOMESTIC CODE SHARE.

We'll see what it looks like when it comes out.

In this environment, that sounds like a great deal. It doesn't look like you have to give anything up.

We'll have to see what the definition of "Domestic" flying is.

Does it mean no codeshare to Hawaii and Alaska?

How much flying are we giving away to West Jet and Volaris?

We'll just have to read section 1 and see what it looks like.

International doesn't look like it's anywhere in your business plan, so it looks like "no harm, no foul" there. Since AK and HI have an ICAO identifier that doesn't start with a K, I would assume that they are international. Military guys file a 175 in the lower 48, but an 1801 international (to include AK and HI).

We shall see. Wish us luck

Isn't flying from the USA to Canada domestic and under US domestic rules?

Why would a SWA FO vote to give his/her upgrade to a WestJet/Volaris FO?
