Read your contract. "Higher up" is a relative term and it don't mean much.

Those in the union (whom I thought should know) quoted me.. I always understood it as Nov 20 is a hard date based on seat and base and regardless of award.

I read the contract, the million dollar question and then DW's interpetation can be two different things.. In my case, the union was yet another answer to the question.
