That world Famous Gunfyter -- Josie Wales says:

"...Now remember, things look bad and it looks like you're not gonna make it, then you gotta get mean. I mean plumb, mad-dog mean. 'Cause if you lose your head and you give up then you neither live nor win. That's just the way it is."

Do what you want. When similar union busting tactics occurred in 2005 ... NJ pilots made voluntary donations in addition to the union dues we were already paying.

So...
"Are you gonna pull those pistols or whistle Dixie?"

Now that the Supreme Court actually got one right, they should have some pistols to pull...

Thanks for all of the support guys!!!

From what I am seeing and hearing it looks like the FLOPS pilots are becoming even more unified and stronger.

The support from pilots who were just sitting on the sidelines was a surprise. It looks like it just took a kick from the company to wake them up.

cheers

It's no wonder so many folks in our lovely country have a problem with the concept of Evolution. With Barf 19 and Skanzoid running about as examples, it is not surprising!

Hang tough there FLOPS pilots, it's obvious management is getting a wee bit desperate. Your time will come.

I'd think more along the lines of the evolution of a union, or should I say.. the lack thereof.

How is the turmoil going over at FLOPS? Two years of "voted in" union, and how many before that?

Yep, now THAT's evolution..

Ugh...

I just threw up a little just then...:erm:

OK.. we've had this discussion before. How are unions evolving? I don't see anything. The test will be over the upcoming year or two while the economy is slipping.

If unions have truly evolved, there should be a complete change in how they negotiate when the times are tough.

Right now, there are a lot of pilots that will be unemployed simply because the union contract they are under will be too expensive for the carrier to maintain. The union won't take the cut, you know it as well as I do.

That's what makes me sick, is all the employees that are going to lose their jobs while the union drags its feet during tough economic times.

If you think that NJ or any frac is immune from this, you're only fooling yourself.

yeah your right, Options managemant woulda just gave all the pilots the wages they deserve, shared the profits, gave them fair vacations, etc, etc, etc all outta the kindness of their heart.

So, you're saying they held a gun to your head to work for the wage they offered when you took the job. That was your time to bargain for pay, not after you saw NJ pilots get a union imposed raise that could be afforded by Buffet, but not under the FO business plan.
And I repeat: FO is not NJ. Different financing, different business plan, different fleet, etc... I'll remind you that FO has no intention of being the biggest Fraction/135 operator. They've communicated that to us and and the rest of the employees.
