Sure that is a possibility. And I'm sure the lease rates on those birds will be dirt cheap. The company has a lot of flexibility in that respect.

Had been pondering employment with Spirit, but not very much knowledge with the 121 side of aviation, I have 3 questions for those that are among the ranks in NKS, or anyone who knows what the dynamics are:

What kind of background do "New Hires" have, is it an equal mix between 121/135/91 or predominantly one vs the others?

Pilots with consistent 135 experience (PIC, CKAMN, CP, DO) are they valued for interview as much as candidates with 121 experience?

Is DFW still a fairly Jr. base, in other terms is it easy to obtain for a new hire?

Curious as to what 'history' you're referring to? Spirit has returned plenty of aircraft including Airbus's when it has suited them.
