Anyone think that skywest inc furloughed ASA just so they could release a news brief that another ALPA carrier furloughed... If ASA has 2500 pilots or something, 80 seems like doing it to do it.

The most junior guys are EMB F/Os. If they need to furlough, they'll probably use the replacement of the brasilias as the perfect time to do it. It saves them money on training and moving costs...

I believe the bottom 30 or 40 are brasilia, then 20 or so CRJ pilots.

Skywest is only going to get rid of the remaining Bros one by one, as their leases come up. All of the Bros that Skywest owned outright previously have already been sold.
