Airtran just announced today the closing of 4 of its stations MLI,ACY,AVL and PHF, these are 717 routes. Citing the current economy and high fuel prices. Hopefully they are moving those 717's elsewhere in the system....

The article says that will happen someone in 2012. So that is ok the arbitrated list will be out by then. Vote no to fear tactics and swapa lack of integrity.

The junior captains!at AAI can be bumped back to first officers when the management pilots and medical senior captains come back online. How many 30 to 40?

All sorts of magic can happen ....

The proposed ISL has some interesting names on it. One's dead and another is at Delta.

Are you SWAPA guys tuff enough to vote it down? Then do it. Stop complaining and do it. Get everyone together and voting this POS down so the blood is on your hands.Airtran is not as big and we are backed into a corner. You are the bully in the yard with a very rich dad, so lets see it. Arbitration is the next step. Just dont b!itch if you dont like that ruling and run to a lawyer.

That's why ALPA sold out the bottom 649 FO's and gave away the seniority of the bottom 550 captains?

Roger that! It's like the Fram oil filter commercial. Pay me now or pay me later. Those dudes may keep their seat but they will take it up the butt for the rest of their careers.

Gup

Im with old crow! Pay protect SWA fo for captain pay and integrate fairly. Junior SWA fo's do not deserve 4 year bump ahead of any AAI guy! Taking something that doesnt belong to them is wrong! As per the proposal it will take 10 years of attrition to get back to DOH. Off to arbitration we go.
easy trigger, it's the ALPA boys that gave up their own AT FO's to protect their captains. Think about that.

So true, but guys like oldmanpilot have already given up, just not wanting to put up a fight for their seniority, which is everything in this business. Oh well.

We hope you guys will vote it down for us...it will pass at SWAPA...

There's plenty of pain to go around from what I see...on both sides. Starting to think it will still pass with both companies.

I'm betting 70-80% pass on the AT side, and 50%, + 1 on the SW side either way.

If I was an AAI guy, I'd vote no. An arbitrated decision would be better for the AAI guys even if its a crapshoot.

From what I have heard and seen in the crew room and overnights....too many SWA guys and gals that are very unhappy. Feel GK gave away too much and also didn't sweeten the deal on the SWA side.. SLI list means nothing for the next 3 years since there will not likely be growth since AT (by our manning models) is overstaffed. Chances of having any upgrades the next 3 years is very low with the seat lock. Also the ATL fence is to long. Almost 700 AT Capt's will hit age 65 before the fence is down. I had thought I would see more pilots being positive about getting this behind us......
