Yup... and Skywest was also buying Mesaba too. Even up until the night before it was announced that Pinnacle was buying us! I'll believe it when I see it.

Actually Jerry said recently that Skywest wanted Mesaba and out bid everyone but Delta didn't want Skywest to have a monopoly on the flying.

I guess we'll see what happens. It's nice to be "wanted" I suppose. I would have rather it been Skywest over Pinnacle, but they didn't ask the employees.

If anyone buys XJT they have to have a single pilot seniority integration. Skywest Inc. can't just put XJT and ASA together, it has to be the whole pilot group, XJT scope applies to the holding company as well as the actual airline.

Skywest Inc. is not an airline, it's a holding company. ASA and Skywest Airlines are two wholly owned subsidiaries run independent of one another.

Their contract would be binding to the airline they merge with, not the holding company.

Only their pilot group through the MEC can agree to something different.
