First year FO who voted no. Ha, now my first year pay is the same hourly as it was at Mesa. What a crock

No, it's not. A real pay rate is a separate pay category. A simple override only to block hours is not a payrate.

More like a Scooby snack...

To all the whiners - I've worked for three regionals now. First one was with ALPA, second was Teamsters and now I'm with Skywest. I make more money and am treated better now than I ever was at those other two. No exaggeration, No BS. It's simply the way it is. This is why ALPA didn't pass and why it will never pass.

Just because you are 'treated better' still does not mean you are not getting screwed....

Please post the Skywest pilots Code of Ethics.

Right....they should ante up the 2% and get screwed harder.

You missed my point. I WAS getting screwed at those other two airlines who both had union representation. How exactly am I getting screwed at Skywest when I make more money and enjoy a better quality of life? You can'y simply compare hourly rates and make comments. Ask any Skywest pilot if they would rather work for another regional and the vast majority would say no.

Why after 10 years are you still at SkyWest and not at a major?
it is really quite simple, 9/11, hiring for the majors was stopped, in fact it went backwards, its called furloughing. But I wouldn't expect you to even know about 9/11, since you are so self cantered. A short primer, while you were still waiting for your first non self administered hand job, several airliners hit the World Trade center(terrorism)(You spanking your monkey, penile terrorism). Hiring is just started back, and yes I am looking. I will welcome another job, go back to the bottom and sit reserve, gladly! You might ask yourself why the 10 year guys are so upset? I guess its the ability to bid in the top 10% of the seniority list, whatever equipment we want isn't just enough, huh? How about the constant decline in the QOL, workrules and lack of pay, mirrored by RECORD profits and prosperity for the company. I do not expect you to understand, you will in time get the big picture and will become frustrated with the next generation coming in behind you. You are just one shoulder fired missile from being either furloughed or worse frozen in your seat for a long time.
Good luck

Regardless of how much other regional pilots make or their quality of life, with >$700 MILLION in the bank and making about $150 MILLION a year, Skywest pilots should be getting paid better than Horizon and XJT.

By the way, you offered too much on this pay raise otherwise it would have been a 50.1% verses 49.9% margin (at least that is how management will see it).;)

Yup ALPA did a ton for me at my other gig

Pretty high expectations for somebody who paid $0 in dues in the 6 months you were at eagle and now will be getting basically the same pay that ALPA negotiated for ASA wouldn't you say? It seems ALPA gave you much more than you ever gave them ;) ...

....those were taken from the ALPA code of ethics.....without paying 2%......

ASA for sure was a pay rate increase, and I believe ExpressJet was as well (but I could be wrong on that one).

.....half a percent was the ASA payraise you speak of.....less than 50 cents for most captains, and less than a quarter for most FOs....

Exactly...I got a 38 cent raise. I voted no for this piece of crap. I don't know what people were thinking. A 1% raise is nothing but a slap in the face. As an FO, what is $380 or about $225 for an ENTIRE YEAR after taxes and 401K gonna do for you????

.....I wasn't even talking about this contract.....I was referring to LOA 29 that Sweptback was crowing about.....it amounted to about 15 cents for FOs and about 30 cents for captains.....and he is using it as ammunition for how successful ALPA is.......

I don't know what you are flying at ASA, but I personally went from 59.80 to 63.73, almost four dollars. Not as much as I wanted, but not bad. How did you only get a 38 cent raise?

Sorry.... I was appealing to your sense of concern for the profession over yourself.... my mistake. Your position is clear...

Rez....whether you like it or not, agree or disagree....the majority of pilots, both ALPA and non-ALPA, are more concerned about themselves then they are about the profession....It is what it is.....
