Skywest/asa/xjt...no excuse for not having industry best contract!!

dont worry it will fall apart because the xjt contract requires ALL lists to be merged... so its either all 3 in 1 or nothing at all

I've been told that SKYW has been able to get around our scope clause by labeling ASA as a holding company which satisfies our contract language.
 
Well you'll probably see that one go to court..... where a bunch of labor's money will be spent fighting deep pockets which will end up winning.

The real question is when is Mesa going to be purchased?

yea.. there will be alot of grievances and will go to court. Bottomline if your a skywest guy you should want all 3 to come together and have 1 big list with 7,000 pilots. Have a industry leading contract and make it one badass place to work!

No one is buying Mesa. Mesa assests...maybe. But NO ONE will buy Mesa Air Group.

Maybe its already pretty badass to work at SkyWest Airlines.
 
yea, it will be one certificate... this sounds good for all! finally something good! one certificate, one list, platform for industry leading things.

You live in a pipe dream. You union guys always try to make it sound like you are going to let SkyWest in on something awesome out of the goodness of your hearts. Maybe, for once, SkyWest is letting YOU in on something good. Ever think of that?

I guess it all depends what is offered during the merge negotiations. What would the pilots of the combined ASA/XJT want in return to wave the scoped merger of SkyWest Airlines into the ASA/XJT list? This is your time to go for the moon if Inc. really wants to keep us apart. Everything is up for negotiation.

Personally I want all three lists merged, but holding strong on to forcing a three way merger might not be in the best interest of the ASA/XJT pilots. I see good things in your future if you folks want to go for it. Good luck guys

The same contract that lead to you being BOUGHT for LESS than SkyWest originally proposed to buy you for two years ago?
 
Like I said, I'm cool with that. But, do not negotiate yourselves into a corner. Think outside of the contract a bit.

I dont fly for XJT. I know that they have a great pilot contract. All, im saying is get that contract over to Skywest or something similar so its a great place to be and now the standard will be higher for others to start negotiating better contracts such as Republic

The per share price doubled. Either way get over yourself quick! I have been through several mergers growing up in ghis business and 1 thing is a constant when employees fight eachother we loseamd mgt wins! All 3 pilot groups bring a lot OS positive to the table that we all can reap rewards from. Together we profit separate we lose.

Didnt XJT do a 1 for 10 reverse split between the last offer and this one... If so its a great deal based on the price of 6.75

Per share price doubled, after the ten-for-one reverse split. Do the math.

A merge of all 3 would be ideal....maybe too ideal. I for one would like to see an in house collective of representation if that were the case. But its one day at a time from this point on. One thing is for sure, Skywest Inc. does not make "Bad" business decisions.
 
Every ExpressJet Pilot out there has not for one minute stopped talking about if they get bought they will have to merge all the lists. What do you mean, what will be battled in court? You think the ExpressJet pilots are just gonna let it go? They negotiated for a merged list if they get bought. They got bought and it doesn't look like the lists are getting merged. Thus ASA being the buyer. I know I am stating the obvious here but some people don't seem to get it. ASA bought ExpressJet so they didn't have to merge all the lists. I don't really know what is better in the long run. My thought would be one list for all groups, but obviously it is going to cause a major problem.

What is the problem? ASA bought Express Jet...their lists will be merged.

If ASA is the entity that makes the purchase of Express Jet, what is there to talk about here?
