Hearing talk that Skywest has informed ATL pilots that there may be some changes with the ATL base?

Anyone, anyone...

SkyWest sent out a memo to ATL pilots advising that the company is looking at staffing and may shift flying out west. Pilots to be notified of changes when scheduling considerations have been worked out. (or something like that)

A base rationalization makes sense now that Jerry has no immediate need to harass the productive employees at ASA by violating status quo. As predicted, the heat will now be focused on the other side.

Hence the term - "whip saw" - it goes both ways until both sides get together and make it stop.

I think both sides should abandon their normal bases, get together, swoop in and take over XNA! Make it a SUPER regional hub. Good locatation and we'll lock up the Northwest Arkansas market before someone else does. Cheap land and lots of Wal-Marts for the pilots. Just a thought!

It never made sense to transfer those airplanes anyway. What a waste of millions of dollars.

Cmon Fins...mgmnt is EXPERT in wasting money. I mean how much did they waste on the attourney's over the past 5 years for our contract? At the very beginning all we wanted was about 30-35 million. What did they waste on the attourney's....75-100,000 dollars a month for 5 years!

Fact: Skywest has received approval to do Caribbean flying out of ATL. Don't know when this is all going to start but expect announcement before the year is out.
