I am not very well versed on the Emery situation but we can discuss the CC Air situation if you would like. That is definitely an anomoly and while ALPA is a pilot-driven organization, yes, every CBA must have the President's signature. If the President wishes not to sign a particular CBA (there are very few instances of this as typically National does not like to intervene in MEC business), then he/she doesn't have to sign the CBA. That said, the CC Air case was a very complex issue with lots of tentacles touching different sub-issues. DW had his reasons for his course of action on that one and if you'd like to provide us with an argument as to why he should have signed it, I'm all ears...I haven't heard too many arguments in favor of that CBA frankly.
