I don't have the plates in front of me, but aren't there some fixes on approach to MCI named, SPICY, BARBQ, RIBBS? (sp?)

Anyway, FAF at Aberdeen, SD is called DASCL (SP?) (Tom Dachle)

I like Pikin and Grnin into Nashville!

In Arizona most are named after a location on the ground that it over flys. Ie. Arlin Arrival fliys over the little town of Arlin. Who knew???? Some are named after other things like sport teams, ie. SUNNS and DBACK Arrivals and some are named for personal reasons. I can’t think of an example with the STARS or SIDS but intersections like ALLEY and AMBER on the ARLIN arrival are named after two daughters of the Airspace and Procedures Specialist that designed the arrival. AVERY intersection on the IWA ILS is named after an old IWA tower manager. (I can’t remember his first name) Numerous other examples. Oh, and I thought of an example of “personal” for the arrivals. The MADWN STAR into OAK is named after a Steve Madwin who was a controller at Oakland Center (ZOA).
