As for pay cuts, let's see here. You weren't in BK, we were, as well as Comair. Both of us took pay cuts. Comair at least had the nads to strike in an effort to obtain some kind of quality in the regional profession.

Finally, despite my pay cut, 2007 will be my best year by twice since I've been at Delta with regards to the ole W2. I will take that, my pay cut, and my B plan over some isolated ************************* threat from an ASA pilot. Grow up a little. it is not the fault of the Delta pilots that you get charged for passes, nor is it our problem to solve. You have a way around it, as long as an offline pilot jumpseater does not get bumped in the process. Then I step in and get everyone where they are wanting to go rather than watch you avoid a $10 charge and screw a fellow jumpseater. Deal with it, in your oh so cowardly annymous manner.

No. The situation I described is probably a long shot, but could happen. Paying 10 bucks is not desirable, and not the end of the world either. Most of the time, the way I understand it, pilots will just flow to the cabin--and not be charged. But when they could s3c on the airplane for a charge, and get on the last one or 2 seats, but instead try and use their jumpseat priority on Delta to bump say a UAL or Eagle guy just to avoid the service charge, I WILL get involved. If the jumpseat is the only seat left, fine, the ASA guy rides. Get it?


Trying to blame this situation on Delta pilots, and putting the onus on the Delta pilots to change it is wrong, uncalled for, and is what brought me into this thread. If an ASA captain tries to charge me for the jumpseat, it will get ugly between airlines.

Under the New World Order, Delta Agents control who get on the Jumpseat--mainline or any DCI carrier. The Pilot usually has no clue who shows up at the gate for the jumpseat!

Thank You, for lobbying to hire our pilots! It must be a payback for our MEC Chairman, Bob Arnold, and our MEC, lobbying ASA MGMT to hire Delta furloughed pilots a few years ago, while asking nothing in return from the Delta MEC! See, I guess, "Good Goes Around!"

If you are so worked up over this to "come over to get involved in this thread" like the jumpseat police, why not volunteer for the DALPA Jumpseat comittee? Would your frustrations not be better served there?

I'm a commuter as well, and it is absolutely IMPERATIVE that good relations be kept between both companies. Delta fixed thier computer glitch, so I'm not charged for the jumpseat, AGAIN.......I got so irritated I walked accross the Atlanta airport to catch a ride on USAirways, after giving up my request to ride Delta at the gate.

How do you know that I am not on the jumpseat committee? Ahhhhhhhhh. The "frustration", as you like to call it, is merely disdain for some little pathetic RJ captain threatening to abuse his PIC authority on an anonymous BB, WHILE blaming it on somebody who has absolutely nothing to do with it.

Some of us worked very hard to drag Delta into the 20th century, not a typo, in order to secure flowback unlimited jumpseat. So, yeah, we get a bit testy when some Napoleon-complex little Rj captain decides vigilante justice is the answer to his poor choice of employers.
