What are you talking about? Every regional was operating cheaper than Comair from 01-06ish. You guys took a pay freeze in hopes of growing which back-fired on you. So don't talk to me about BS consessions.

The shoe has been on the other foot for a while now.....remember when we had a base in MCO? You guys and Freedum took that back. Remember FLL, another one gone as of 06.

This is some history you should remember before you start comming at us.
Well since you brought up MCO, I'm sure some of the senior guys At Comair would love to tell you who was doing that flying before you Mco was a OH base for a long time kid.

Hum Funny MCO was a Comair base for a very long time, then the cheaper CHQ or whatever republic company came along and MCO was gone. Then right before BK they opened MCO again for us so not everyone would jump ship. But hey thanks for the history lesson.

you guys are so funny, times changed and are changing as we speak we the pilots did not steal ********************. its buisness and the airlines are going to what is right for the airline. they give two craps about pilots, no one stole anyone's flying. the buisness model that once was a mainline 737 in the northeast is now an rj does not work anymore better start liking it!

Aren't you the guys who put out the letter saying you should take management's contract offer because you would be cheaper than Comair, thus assuring growth at their expense? Yes you are. Kinda sucks to have the shoe on the other foot, huh? I'm not going to kick you in the gut. It sucks what you are going through. I just want history remembered.

Hey Doh again...go F yourself. If you are ever if Chicago look me so I can kick you in the v*gina :angryfire

So now neither Comair or CHQ are in MCO.

So no one wins.

Of course OH won the battle of CVG. Congrats guys on winning the battle of Northern Kentucky. Enjoy it.

It's not 500 pilots, not 400 pilots. Please read before you post.

Company posted FAQ says 200 pilots. Perhaps less with attrition and voluntary leaves. Someone IS reading because they posted 100 Captain downgrades and that is correct.

The FAQ says NO Flight Attendent furloughs. Yeesh, their attrition rate is so high, they'll probably keep hiring through this ordeal.

Yeah, Delta was doing the flying out of MCO before your senior guys with a hire date of 2000 came over and took away the flying smallballs.

Your welcome for the history lesson

I've got underwear older than you son

You think RAH STOLE flying? What are you smoking? Please explain how we stole anything. I'd love to hear it. Something tells me you don't know anything about the industry. There was no struck flying being flown. And FYI RAH has higher pay and better work rules than many of those you listed.

Do you consider United or SWA SCABS for flying in DEN running F9 into the ground?

Ypu did not steal anything, but you do it for cheaper, why do you think you got all this flying from ALG, COM, PDT ETC? Your superior flying skill?

The fact is the CHQ pilots accepted their contract because they were told they would receive the majority of the Delta flying!!!

Anybody at CHQ that says different is either lying or wasn't at the road shows... I had a friend that worked there (CHQ) that called me DURING a roadshow and told me verbatim what they were being told...

Of course he upgraded in a year and then a year later was interviewing at a major, while I and many others at OH spent the better part of 5 years waiting to upgrade.... Most, like myself, moved on to better jobs before ever upgrading.

The fact is we at OH were nearly forced into the pay freeze by the CHQ pilot contract...We were told by tour MEC we needed this just to maintain our fleet numbers, NOT TO GROW.... And the rest is history.

Uhm, it's called a whipsaw. Sounds like it worked. The last sentence in your post says it all.

We were told by tour MEC we needed this just to maintain our fleet numbers, NOT TO GROW.... And the rest is history.

So let me get this straight when you take it in the @ss for growth/maintaining fleet numbers it's okay. Or it's the other guys fault cause they started it? Wouldn't you be less of a hippocrite if you had stood your ground?

That's funny!!! I was at a road show and the main thing CHQ pilots were dealing with at the time was the threat of an alter-ego called Republic. They were underway to start up out of SDF flying for US Airways using furloughed US Airways pilots since the CHQ pilot group voted down the initial J4J deal. BB wanted those airframes and needed to staff them with furloughed guys and he was willing to do that with or without the CHQ pilots agreeing to J4J. The CHQ pilot group spent a lot of negotiating capital getting scope for Republic Airways Holdings and one seniority list across any and all certificates. DL growth was talked about, but never hung as a carrot. The CHQ pilot's primary goal in those negotiations was to ensure all flying done was by someone on the CHQ list. That mission was accomplished and the past four and a half years has since played out with one list covering three certificates..... and good growth.

Hey, it doesn't matter to me anymore, I have moved on. Just adding details and all. Good luck to those at RAH and other places with pilots getting furloughed. It sucks for everyone.

Same excuse Mesa Pilot use, not a big surprise you are in the same league.

Seriously you guys (who are whining about who's flying's who's and why republic is suposedly so bad) are idiots.

Why cheer on pilots loosing their jobs who arent the problem, if republic did somehow "Steal" flying. If anything you would have a beef with the older folks...not those who are about to hit the street.

Hey Doh again...go F yourself. If you are ever if Chicago look me so I can kick you in the v*gina :angryfire

The letter the Teamsters put out is a matter of record. If I am ever in Chicago, I will be at the bar. If you can get up off your knees and pull yourself away from your boyfriend's c**k, come on down and try.

Sucks for everyone who is going to lose their jobs. This industry is going through a big downturn, with no hope for upturn at all.

I have a lot of friends that I left behind at Eagle when I moved to the UAE, and many at Eagle are telling me that they believe that RAH will be the proud owner of Eagle by the end of the year, if this is true hopefully some of you who are losing your jobs will get them back through this merger.

many at Eagle are telling me that they believe that RAH will be the proud owner of Eagle by the end of the year,

No one in their right mind would buy that many 50 seaters in this market. No one, and certainly not a company that is focused on 70+ seat growth.

As said above, anyone who has a beef with RAH has that beef with pilots who were hired over 4 years ago. The only people who are going to be on the streets (the ones who you are speaking so heartlessly to) are folks who have been on property less than a year. Heck, most of them were only logging multi time on MS Flight Sim when that contract was signed. Know your enemy. Otherwise, stop being a jerk.

Same old tired excuse everytime a sh@t contract is ratified.. The fact still remains that a majority of the CHQ pilots voted in the contract that ultimately sealed the fate of many stronger carriers in terms of work rulkes and pay. And the majority of the CHQ pilots were excited/bragged about the huge amounts of growth that was going on over there..

Is it a coincidence that what my buddy said turned out to be true... Contract ratified, CHQ grows like a weed.(the kind you can't kill!) Maybe all the 2nd year pilots at CHQ who were already captains were just that much better pilots than our 15-20yr. guys.

I don't buy the whole alto-ego carrier excuse. I know what the selling point of the contract was.. Growth at the expense of carriers with superior working agreements.

Like I said I moved on and don't have a dog in this fight anymore. But I still get a kick outta riding on CHQ/Rep./Shuttle's 170's and knowing that the FO won't upgrade in a year and half anymore, and the captain will be stuck with his/her contract wages with little or no chance of moving to a major anytime soon. Enjoy the work rules and pay scales and enjoy flying that 170 around for a sh*t wage.

CRJFlyer, what about our work rules is so bad? I've been here 7 years. I've had 19 days off the last 2 months (without using vacation). 81 hour lines. No junior manning, no real ability to be extended. No hot reserve. Pay isn't that much different from anyone else. And the reason I voted yes on our contract was fear of the "Republic" monster. Not 1 word was ever spoken at a road show about more Delta flying, I promise. But, you're gonna believe what you want so, whatever.

If you are flying on contract for another carrier reality catches up with EVERYONE eventually! Republic et al. was nothing more than the flavor of the week, as Comair was before them! It sucks that anyone has to lose their job, but if you did not see it coming you are blind!

CRJFlyer said:

Were you asleep while that whole "TSA is furloughing while GoJet is hiring" thing was going on???

As was written earlier you are gonna believe what you're predisposed to believe regardless of what FACTS anybody imparts on you...but to discount the threat of a non-union, alter-ego airline to the job security of those existing pilots is purely ignorant.

And I haven't worked for either RAH or CMR!

Thank you. NK is the best place I have ever lived. I am out in the country on 10 acres but only fifteen minutes to the employee lot. Low cost of living, very low crime, friendly people.

Crjflyer,

Dude you are way off. Totally mis-informed. Been here nine years. That stuff about an alter-ego is true. We voted to kill Republic. Why do you think we bought Mid Atlantic? And Shuttle America when they were only flying Dash 8's and going out of business? All the growth would have been on the alter-ego. What happened at TSA would've happened to us. But we stopped it. I am proud we did and my contract was an improvement over the previous one.

Or you can choose to believe the junk you continue to pollute the web with. Choose wisely.
