It's what I thought too.

175 pilots seemed a little low if they are going to slash 500 jobs total.
 
I heard from the Training Department 177 Pilots. around 400 total reductions. This includes everyone other than pilots. Dispatches, Station (gate) agents, and some management.

Sad times for everyone is aviation.

I am sure your E170 capt friend of yours must not be in the know... They are only going to reduce pilots by as much as 175 people. Majority of the cuts are going to be with the MX, Dispatch, and office. Also the FA's are going to be feeling the hurt the most. This is from a person who is in the know!
 
FSI in STL says all sim times are booked starting in Sept, might be 135/145 or CRJ guys moving up or .....
 
They announced all 135s (15 of them) will be parked by September 30th. I would assume the sims would be booked up for transitioning the 135/145 guys to the 170 as the Delta 175s come on line.
 
Sorry to hear this, BUT Karma is a bitch. When we at OH went through BK, some of your guys in cvg were way to happy, and not afraid to tell us "we should come to CHQ because thats where DL is putting all the flying".

The guys who told you that were jerks. 5% rule and all that.

I am pleased for you that you were able to keep that resentment burning long enough be the same kind of jerk. 5% rule and all that.

They were saying the same to us when they took the Allegheny flying in 2002.
