Republic Airlines or Nice Cessna 340 job?

E-135 Capt = $54.00 (this is where you MIGHT be)
E-145 Capt = $61.00
E-170 Capt = $64.00
E-190 Capt = $70.00 (Dont think you will be here at year 3)

Sales pitch makes more sense now knowing that he is from Headquarters.

Long way from 75-90K.

Please be serious. While it is a nice airplane, I would hardly call it more advanced than a 777 or A-340. New does not equal advanced.

You REALLY dont know sh*t about avionics in new aircraft, the a340 and 777 are both old avionics suites comapaired to today i.e. EASY or New proline.. you really should know what your talking about before you spout..OH let me guess you meant the 380... you've seen the inside have ya...your an idiot..

I guess that fly by wire in the 170/190 is old stuff huh? Nothing beats those cables in the 400 huh. I heard an amazing fact, is it true that a 400a can make ANYWHERE in the U.S. with only 1 , yes I said 1, fuel stop and 3 people?

This started to be humorous, but is kind of scary now. Hopefully the original poster has decided to go the 340 route so he doesn't have to work with hellas - er the psycho from Republic. Dude you need to take your medication.

See thats just how stupid you are. You are telling a new first officer that in 2 years he can be making what the senior IOE Captains are making. You claim to be a corporate executive but you don't even know your own company's pay scale.

Not only are you stupid, you are a liar, and that is worse. Keep trying to pass that checkride man, you will get it one day. And with enough IOE and re-training, then you can fly like those of us in the geriatric ward, as you say.

I am very familiar with avionics Richard. I am very familiar. Pretty EFIS tubes definately make it sophisticated.

My Beechjet will do anything yours will in the avionics department with the possible exception of computing v-speeds automatically, and I bet your Aircraft only has 1 FMS. How many FMS/Long range navs do you have you loser? I bet the 777 has more. The Beechjet is not the key to happiness, but honesty and intergrity are. You should try it some time.

The Beechjet is not supposed to be a long range aircraft moron!

Control cables are working just fine.... have yet to have a tail fall off after landing like your massive and Mighty EMB's.

Beechjet suits our mission to a T. Never said it was the best aircraft out there. It just does what we want it to do flawlessly, and dispatched 100% last year.

You see, as I said before, we have all given our opinions. You decided to say everyone else is wrong, and prove it with lies and negative attacks on another pilot group.

I am sure that the Gentleman who asked the question is now very impressed with management at Republic. He will definately know what to expect. Hopefully he saw this before he signed on with you.

I have to agree that the 170/190 has the most advanced avionics of any ***AIRLINER***. But the Gulfstream and Falcon versions of that cockpit are much better in terms of what the screens show you. The 170 avionics have been "De-Rated" so to speak. They aren't much better than the Mitsu-Beechi, Legacy, etc..

And please no cheap shots about the EMB. ;) It's a good airplane. I absolutely love flying it.

If the original poster is still meandering about after reading most of that jibberish that consumed 4 pages, here it is:

My best friend was hired at CHQ in the EMB-170 a year and a half ago with the premise that he would be upgrading in 9-12 months. Well, 12 months later he was told 6 more months. And now that time has come and passed with someone telling him maybe another year. But still really not sure. He's struggling with student loans, etc with the pay. He wants to come to work for my 135 company. But they can't hire him because the lack of PIC time. So he is stuck flying a shiny new, state of the art, best avionics package EMB-170 for less than an assistant manager at Taco Bell.

And I'm just stating pure fact, so no flames please!

A question for ya then. Why wouldn't you take a C340 job no matter what? That to me sounds like a typical regional, SJS, "I wanna fly a big jet" comment. You know what they say about guys that drive big trucks right?
So if the guy that has the C340 wants to pay you $200K a year, you wouldn't do it becasue it's beneath you or what?
