Gulfstream definitely more responsive. Although with this G550 they can't always help- especially when you are in Mumbai India with a MAU3b failed. Not a pretty sight at O'dark thirty.:)

Yeah, but even THAT problem didn't turn it into a building... ;) TC

While I believe Gulfstream and Falcon are both great products, we have been operating Falcons (2000,900ex and now 2000ex ) for over nine years and had excellent realiabity and service. Not having flown Gulfstreams, I can attest that the flying characteristics of the Falcons are wonderful. In addition our company is very "low key" and the ramp image of the Gulfstreams was not to be overcome. Both great products and just happy to be flying either one !!!

I'll second that sentiment. But-AP on 90 % of time so "fighter feel" of Falcon not missed too much. Prefer extra room in cockpit. Most Corp operators try to be "low key" as well and I understand the sesitivity some would have to be seen operating a 40+ mil fringe benefit. I jest.:)

anyone who what the range of the G450 is with a typical BOW of approx 43,400lbs...standar assumptions 8 pax? They state 4,350nm @ M0.80, but that is for a typical Basic Operating weight.

G450 Spec operating weight and typical operating weight for recent completions are both 43,000 lb. The range quarantee with 8 passengers at Spec weight is 4,350 nm @ Mach 0.80 and 4,400 nm @ Mach 0.77. If your jet came in 400 lbs heavy, you would lose about 14 minutes of endurance or 115 nautical miles of range with eight passengers.
