...A new domicile bid was recently posted in the Lakes crew room in DEN for an STL base beginning June first. Sorry about what has been happening to those of you left at Regions, I hope you don't feel like we are taking your flying...
What goes around comes around - we "took" your flying out of RDU many years ago.
Hey, if you're a current Laker, tell Chuck if you ever see him, that the majority of his former Corpex pilots did not agree with the weasel DC taking his position from him! Many of us enjoyed having a CEO that would actually talk to us when he flew on our flights; we also appreciated him cleaning up the airplanes and straightening out seat belts on those flights! I’m not a current Regions guy but I think many of those who remember Chuck while at Corpex will agree with me – he was a class act!
Not perfect of course because after all we didn't have the original pay scale (which was some 25% higher) but comparing to DC, Chuck was an angel!!!
...it sounds like there are alot of politics (literally) behind the recent actions "instigated by the FAA" If you ask me, Dick Durbin was the impetus behind the FAA's actions. Regions will not be serving any cities in IL, if Durbin has anything to say about it. And I would not be surprised if he enlists the outside help of other senator's to get his point across (Much like Daley cutting up Meigs, he wanted to prove the point that he gets what he wants)...
I’ve heard the very same thing – it’s amazing a “surrender-now” politician is allowed to pressure the FAA this much…
