Doesn't the contract you signed at Region's actually say Corporate Express still on the top? Wouldn't that fact make it a void contract considering they are no longer corpex?? Just curious... good luck to all trying to get out...

Why now???

Doesn't the contract you signed at Region's actually say Corporate Express still on the top? Wouldn't that fact make it a void contract considering they are no longer corpex?? Just curious... good luck to all trying to get out...

I seriously doubt it says Corporate Express, as “Express” was dropped some 6 years ago for “Airlines” because of the printing company’s “Corporate Express” name infringement allegations. (next time you jumpseat on Southwest look at the bottom of their jumpseat form - the form was printed by “Corporate Express”)

It probably says Corporate Airlines but since the company never went out of business but merely changed its name I’d imagine they might have a case here. However, the question is - why did they decide to pursue something they’ve ignored for years? I mean, they’ve had hundreds of pilots leave prior to their 1-year mark and usually if you gave them 2 week notice, they’d be quite understanding. They are either trying to make a point to prevent the next “escapee” from even thinking about it or somehow you really pissed them of (I’m just speculating). Did you give them at least 2-week notice? I seriously doubt they’ll spend too much money on attorney fees, etc. and it’ll probably go away but who knows? I mean, what’s the point? Either way, good luck to you!

The sad thing about it was. That we were forced to sign it 5 months after being employed with the company. " Sign it or you're fired"

MAN OH MAN!

If anyone is in this position, simply put the initials S.U.D. after your signature. This is short for "signed under duress".

All of the guys in my class that have left did give at least a 1 month notice. I gave my notice and worked the complete next month until my last leg of the month.

I have been trying to think of something
that has been done in the past few years
to improve conditions for the employees...

a little help here?

Nothing that I can think of that would show
that Regions is successfully operating in a
viable nitch market.

I would love for someone to prove me wrong,
bring it! Please!

OH wait, I know! They haven't defaulted on
the retirement plan!

I guess that the warning is that you can't come
here anymore and get stripes and some 121 time
and run away clean...plan on staying for a year,
at least untill the pending enforcements are ironed
out.

And you'll get to stay at a motel 6...

Yes, we did give at least a 2 week notice. I gave 3 weeks. The company attorney said Fred is drawing a line in the sand here. There seems to be enough of us that left around the same time to make it worth while to fight this time.

Belch- Keep looking for that improvement. From what I've seen (albeit in a short 9 months) there hasn't nor will there be any improvement in the working conditions at crapex/regex. I'm still fighting for ya in other directions. Keep the faith and we'll get you out of there.

"A line in the sand"...

Nice...

would be the same sand that the FCH is
written in?

Hehehehe, common fracking laugh, it's a joke!
(And we all know that the best jokes have an
element of truth.)

Fox my brother, only those without hope are
hopeless and faith is the substance of things
not seen.

I'm with ya! Anytime, anywhere!

I gotta get out of here and get a wahingmachine
part so that I can fix that pos and wash my uniform...
cause I don't have a uniform allowance!

Hey Belch, How many times you gonna fix that washing machine? Get a new rock already. By the time your done you'll have replaced the entire thing one piece at a time. I say wear the dirty uniform. If they wanted you to wear a clean one they would pay you enough to buy a new rock.

The FCH isn't written in sand, it's in crayon on toilet paper!

Can't say anything about the contract thing, but as far as withholding vacation & state withholding; go to the state's "Hourly & Wage" department. That way you won't have to pay a lawyer. I would think if enough cases are filed against them it might cause a review of their employment practices by the state's department of revenue. But be carefull this could be a double edged sword if things are as bad as you say.

Things are as bad as they say. I have never seen such a screwed up operation. I had worked at two other airlines before and these guys take the cake. I honestly don't know how they are going to make it worse, but I'm sure they will find a way.

The DO says "xxx & xxx worked hard to make lines better"
but no-one can find the improvements except for one roster
that gets off at 2100 in stl and shows @ 0700 next day.

Yeah man. Wear that dirty uniform. No one will care.
Belch- How does it feel to be a "Certified Jetsteam Teacher"?

I still pray for you boys at corpex! Be safe

Hehehe, nice. I was looking at a washboard
at one of the local hardware stores but they
didn't have the big galvanized tub with the
hand crank wringer on the side. Otherwise...
my wife would really be pissed!

Your departure was impecably timed...lines
are getting worse...in new and creative ways,
yet the authors thereof claim that they've been
that way for years...

My gosh, you get told that you need to act like
a proffessional airline pilot, keep your tie straight
and that stuff but get paid and treated like a
burgerflipper...and they wonder why the morale
is circling the drain...why people don't want to
stay, why noone believes the latest saab story
will happen, where our long awaited "spare" aircraft
went, why we are contracting when most other
regionals are growing, blah, blah, blah...

Geeze...

For them what know me, well you know that I
love my job and that in a warped way I really enjoy
the jetpig. I am just really weary of trying to do
the impossible for the ungrateful.

We should be properly compensated for the
experience we bring to the line.

We should have a good quality of life and resonable
rest...not just barely "legal" overnights.

Our families deserve better.

It's good...I have a few things to pass on to the
FNG's (by now I ought to, huh?) and it keeps me
on my toes big time. I got there just in time for
the training to come to a screeching halt!

I'd still rather be paired with one of my faves
though. Alas they keep leaving-I am running out
of FO's that I look foreward to getting paired
with (heck, lots leave before I even get a chance
to fly with them!)...and lines that I "want"...I keep
bidding the lesser evil.

"The prayers of a righteous man availeth much"
Thanks man, we need them!
