Did you give them at least 2-week notice? I seriously doubt they’ll spend too much money on attorney fees, etc. and it’ll probably go away but who knows? I mean, what’s the point? Either way, good luck to you!

Yes, we did give at least a 2 week notice. I gave 3 weeks. The company attorney said Fred is drawing a line in the sand here. There seems to be enough of us that left around the same time to make it worth while to fight this time.

Belch- Keep looking for that improvement. From what I've seen (albeit in a short 9 months) there hasn't nor will there be any improvement in the working conditions at crapex/regex. I'm still fighting for ya in other directions. Keep the faith and we'll get you out of there.

"A line in the sand"...

Nice...

would be the same sand that the FCH is
written in?

Hehehehe, common fracking laugh, it's a joke!
(And we all know that the best jokes have an
element of truth.)

Fox my brother, only those without hope are
hopeless and faith is the substance of things
not seen.

I'm with ya! Anytime, anywhere!

I gotta get out of here and get a wahingmachine
part so that I can fix that pos and wash my uniform...
cause I don't have a uniform allowance!

Hey Belch, How many times you gonna fix that washing machine? Get a new rock already. By the time your done you'll have replaced the entire thing one piece at a time. I say wear the dirty uniform. If they wanted you to wear a clean one they would pay you enough to buy a new rock.

The FCH isn't written in sand, it's in crayon on toilet paper!

Can't say anything about the contract thing, but as far as withholding vacation & state withholding; go to the state's "Hourly & Wage" department. That way you won't have to pay a lawyer. I would think if enough cases are filed against them it might cause a review of their employment practices by the state's department of revenue. But be carefull this could be a double edged sword if things are as bad as you say.

Things are as bad as they say. I have never seen such a screwed up operation. I had worked at two other airlines before and these guys take the cake. I honestly don't know how they are going to make it worse, but I'm sure they will find a way.

The DO says "xxx & xxx worked hard to make lines better"
but no-one can find the improvements except for one roster
that gets off at 2100 in stl and shows @ 0700 next day.

Belch- How does it feel to be a "Certified Jetsteam Teacher"?

I still pray for you boys at corpex! Be safe

Hehehe, nice. I was looking at a washboard
at one of the local hardware stores but they
didn't have the big galvanized tub with the
hand crank wringer on the side. Otherwise...
my wife would really be pissed!

Your departure was impecably timed...lines
are getting worse...in new and creative ways,
yet the authors thereof claim that they've been
that way for years...

My gosh, you get told that you need to act like
a proffessional airline pilot, keep your tie straight
and that stuff but get paid and treated like a
burgerflipper...and they wonder why the morale
is circling the drain...why people don't want to
stay, why noone believes the latest saab story
will happen, where our long awaited "spare" aircraft
went, why we are contracting when most other
regionals are growing, blah, blah, blah...

Geeze...

For them what know me, well you know that I
love my job and that in a warped way I really enjoy
the jetpig. I am just really weary of trying to do
the impossible for the ungrateful.

We should be properly compensated for the
experience we bring to the line.

We should have a good quality of life and resonable
rest...not just barely "legal" overnights.

Our families deserve better.

It's good...I have a few things to pass on to the
FNG's (by now I ought to, huh?) and it keeps me
on my toes big time. I got there just in time for
the training to come to a screeching halt!

I'd still rather be paired with one of my faves
though. Alas they keep leaving-I am running out
of FO's that I look foreward to getting paired
with (heck, lots leave before I even get a chance
to fly with them!)...and lines that I "want"...I keep
bidding the lesser evil.

"The prayers of a righteous man availeth much"
Thanks man, we need them!

"Er, well, kind of had a prior commitment.
When is the next one my friend?"

Understand, I think ATL in Nov will be next; we are not going to L.A. I expected to see a few Independence Air guys but man was I surprised, there were hundreds of them. I was told they cancelled 142 flight because of the job fair; most of those guys had thousands of 121-jet pic time, many check airman, etc.; tough competition.

Well, sad to think that we remember when the jetpig was
THE stepping stone...it isn't anymore...ye bloody gods!
Someone that can still fracking hand fly an airplane for
a fifteen hour duty day is at the bottom of the eligible
to hire list 'cause you have to teach them how to press
buttons on an autopilot...

Is Regions really as bad as some make it sound?

I have looked at them before, and have been called to go to an interview.. It could work out wonderfully, if they are what I think they are.. Do they fly alot of out and backs or are they over nighters?

They do overnighters. Plan on 5-7 legs per day.
It sounds like the Saab's may really be coming this time.
Good Luck to the Corpex guys. I heard that the top 8 Capt's were offered a SF34 Capt slot at 34 bucks and hour; the turned it down.
$34.00 for a Capt on the SF34 is way to low and they all know it. When some of them are making 32 bucks on the JS32.

Good Luck Boys!

Overnighters would be great for me.. I would be able to "commute." I basically live 2 hours away and would be able to drive the 2 hours for a 5 day trip and then 2 hours home at the end.. :)

You would drive 2 hours each way to work at corpex, are you nuts? You will spend more in gas than you will make.

No, the C-402 is not a turbine, but it pays me over twice what Regions pays, and I actually get a pay raise every year. Also, the people I work around enjoy working for the company, and more importantly the company enjoys having them work for them. Taking a job for less than 17,000 a year, and only getting paid 25.00 a day for training is no way for make a career out of flying. A career infers that you are making a living off doin something. If anything it assures that pilot pay will continue to go down. I applaud the senior captains at Regions for turning down the BS wages that were offered to fly left seat in the SAABs, and hope that they can get together and get the quality of life and good wages they deserve. Ask BlackPilot628, or Belchfire, they will all tell you what it is like to work for a company where the HR department hates it's employees. They will also tell you what it is like to work you butt off, getting only 9 hours off duty a day, and then getting a paycheck and wondering how you will pay your rent, buy food, put gas in your car (in your case gas to drive back home) You are a professional and should demand to be treated like one. I'm sure you have worked hard to get your time, you should demand to be compensated for your hard work. Everyone that I know at Regions is trying, or is planning to get out of there. Does that not say something? Its your call, but please don't base your entire decision based upon "Turbine Eyes." If you do take the job, make sure you know the good, the bad and the ugly about the company, or any company for that matter. Sorry if I came off a little stiff on the "nuts" comment, I just want to make sure you know what you are getting into. Good luck on the job hunt.
