Sinking to new depths...

The HR person at corpex is refusing to pay earned vacation pay, an illegal move.

Also is a vast effort to enforce the training contract. The view on the street is that it is probably unenforcible. Unfortunately, you will probably have to get a lawyer.

I do want to stress that this appears to be coming only from HR, not the CP's office.

Good luck to all my friends...

The theft of earned vacation time is inexcusable. I know that at least one former employee is seeking legal guidance.

The contract? I dunno, but I bet that there are ways around it. For a few individuals I know that there is.

I know that the longer that I am there the worse things seem to get. The lines, the QOL, the attitude that certian people seem to have towards the "valued employees" (not just pilots) ie: the people that make the thing work on a day to day basis, is abominable.

It seems that being committed to staying in the 19 seat market the only way for them to stay in operation is to take more from fewer people.

The saddest thing is that it doesn't have to be that way and no company can survive by mistreating the ones that produce the product.

It's a dang shame...used to be a fun place. Now everyone is wondering what the next rotten thing will be.

Oh yeah, and I know of only two or three pilots there have not been sending out resumes, regardless of total time...

The place is circling the drain.

I have been contacted by the law office of "Dewey, Cheatum & Howe" in the matter of Corporate Airlines v. me. What kind of company goes directly to a law suit instead of trying to contact me about paying off my training contract? A bunch of freakin losers. The CP appologized to me and said he had nothing to do with it. I have found out it is the new HR person and Fred. If you ever think of working for this $hit hole please get in touch with me. I will be more than happy to beat some sense into you.

Hehehe...nice one Fox. Reminds me of a line from
"The Wall" album..."fills me with the urge to deficate!"
"No Judge, the audience!"
"...I sentence you to be
exposed before your peers." from "The Trial"

They did have a way with words.
I hope that it is prophetic in this case...er, cases...

Good Luck to all, go get 'em! You can only kick
good people around for so long!

It was a good time my man...

Greetings fellow Corpexers, uhm, Rejexers!

I was talking to one of the guys we recently managed to steal from y’all and was told that everyone is now paying Missouri state tax “because that’s where you are based and thus that’s where you live.” (supposedly you can claim it back though at the end of the year).

Am I missing something here? I remember when I was doing my taxes several months ago, the tax specialist told me pilots are always paying taxes based on where they actually live NOT their domiciles; he said airlines may not withhold state taxes just because your base happens to be in a different state than where you actually live (true for 90% of all pilots?). Is Corpex of a different view???

FoxBravo – shame on you for stealing venerable Big_Beer_Belly’s avator, you might be getting a call from his/her attorney as well! (B_B_B - just kiddin' ;) )

FoxBravo - Would you please shed some light on your situation? Did you leave before your 1-year sentence was up, or what’s the reason for the law suit?

Seriously though, hang in there folks, hope to see y’all at the job fair - you know me, I’ll be pushing very hard for all of you.

Luv, HomeY :)

I would first like to apologize to Big_Beer_Belly for the theft of his avatar. I shall comence a search for a new avatar post haste.

I did in fact leave prior to serving my 1 year sentence. I am unsure as to the reason for the law suit. They didn't send any corespondance to me prior to the law suit. I presumed that they would be sending me a bill/letter or at least call me and try to get their cash for me leaving too soon. However, they decided to go straight to the lawyers. I really don't have a problem with them wanting their money. I did sign the training contract (I'm such a dumb a$$). I just don't care for the manner in which they are going about collecting it. I feel better after talking about it but it still burns me a little.

The sad thing about it was. That we were forced to sign it 5 months after being employed with the company. " Sign it or you're fired"

MAN OH MAN!

The tax thing pisses me off too. I fought
with the previous (er, two back) HR person
and he did figure out the tax thing, then
fought with the state of misery to the dang
money back...er, MY MONEY!!!:(

"The beatings will continue untill morale improves"
is optomistic. I think that they will continue till
there is noone left to beat on...
