Its a simple question, Wholly-owned guys have said they are gonna do it right, there are countless hours of blowing hard on this board about how you are at the top of the Mainline replacement food chain. Listen up MANAGEMENT ( yes, that is you, all of you Mesa bashers)! You will be refered to as MANAGEMENT from now on because of your basic stupidity and continued need to tear apart other ALPA carriers.
Here is a harsh reality -The fact is that you are talking about relatively small differences when it comes to regional contracts. They all basically stink.
How many regionals shrink or go out of business because the Major airline they were affiliated with just took the lowest bidder and even dropped ALPA carriers for non-ALPA carriers.
Leadership at ALPA national says their hands are tied when it comes to the choice of their regionals and how much they are whipsawed , but the truth is they are not willing to give up anything to make a difference.
Leadership must come from ALPA National - the small guys will never be able to get ahead with out the guys at the top taking a proactive role in making a difference. Thats the truth in black and white and until ALPA national starts taking a stand - I appoint myself the ALPA police calling all those who bash other ALPA brothers what they really are - MANAGEMENT out to destroy our union.

The 700 flights are currently being operated at the 50 seat rates. Once an agreement is reached, the company will have to pay "retro-pay" to those individuals that have flown or are currently flying the 700. Right now the majority of the people flying the 700 are managment pilots conducting IOE, however it may be possible that a few senior line pilots in DAY may be holding lines in it. I haven't looked at the bids for DAY.

Way to call that one "Vagina Clipper" Did you see the results of LOA 7 yet? We didn't fold on that one because it was a peice of sh1t. You can complain all you want about regionals talking the talk, but next time you want to open your trap just remember PSA didn't fold on this one.

Anyway you look at it, the wholly-owneds are, and have been for quite a while, UNDERCUTTING and replacing USAir mainline jobs. Ahhh, the good old days! US Mainline bases in ROA, DAY etc, all UNDERCUT by the Wholly-owneds. It is really funny to hear WO types complaing when the undercutting affects THEM, not when they are BENEFITTING from undercutting people with better jobs.
