Advice on video camera for in flight recording

I like the GoPro's and you can use a RAM mount to mount it per your desire.

If you are using it purely for flight testing an Insta 360 may be a good choice since you can look from many angles with one camera, however you will have to figure out the software. Go Pro definitely has the better video quality
 
Cockpit video cameras can be useful but I don't see them as a substitute for using the data logs and screen captures.

Get used to reading the Garmin data logs and plotting parameters of interest. Saves a lot of note taking and trying to read instrument data from video recordings.
 
I use a combination of the data logs from the Garmin G3X Touch and an Insta360 Ace Pro 2 mounted next to the cockpit map light using the motorcycle mount and the magnetic quick release. I power the camera off the USB connection on the front of the Garmin GMA 245 that is mounted above the passenger seat.

My post flight debrief is mostly from the data logs and I use the camera to see my control inputs or lack of…
