Sediment is what you find in the bottom of a fish bowl...I think you mean, "sentiment"...there's a grammar thread over at the Mesaba board you should read...(by the way, before you write me an ugly reply...this is a J-O-A-K...I'm "funnin'" with you).

Your Mec requested to put many senior CA's behind FO's, that speaks volumes. You talk about zero point in releasing the letter. I'm glad 9L released that letter, I wish XJ had as well. It only further shows how 9E's union is filled with back scene fighting, little cohesion with the XJ, & 9L's negotiating teams, pure selfishness. I remember a few months back we were all supposed to stand together and the Pinnacle union told their boys to walk the picket line against the wishes of the other two unions. 9E is in it for themselves and couldn't give a ******************** about the true goal of a strong unified and merged pilot group. There was potential to make this great, they chose greed. If a Mesaba guy doesn't kiss your ass when you walk by, tough luck. You got our contract, our planes, and maybe soon our seats. Your union is a bunch of parasites. The only saving grace is once we're merge these yahoos will be voted out by the majority.

You clearly do not understand what *interest* arbitration is about. Each group represents *their* interest. Not the happy, hippy-dippy, take one for the team collective position - their position.

As for your "revolution" you should keep in mind the math of the LECs in question:

A combined DTW/JFK LEC is overwhelmingly 9E
A combined MEM LEC is overwhelmingly 9E
A combined MSP LEC for XJ is offset by the 9E ATL LEC
The Colgan LEC may or may not side with XJ politically

So this leaves you with 3-2 in favor of 9E dominant LECs. And that's who votes in the MEC.

Interests covers a wide spectrum. What your union proposed to the arbitrator is plain greed. They in effect asked to staple the other two pilot groups below them. People get on here and act like we shouldn't be offended. KMA!

I'll vote to lose them, if you vote to keep them that's your choice. Colgan LEC is very much in line and connected with ours. Like I said, you're all a bunch of parasites.

No I comprehend just fine, I'm sick of your union reps. I'm glad you feel different then your reps. But the majority of your pilot group voted for them to represent you. If that represents the majority of your pilot group, don't expect me to kiss up as you walk by.

Hear Hear!!! 9E's MEC have proven their kind words do not match up at all with their actions. This was very important for everyone to know. These guys are the self serving, cut throat types that I don't want in charge of any union I am part of. That type of union will produce little more than antagonism, anger and halted progress. A new leadership is needed!
 
The 9E MEC didnt do anything. According to ALPA's new merger policy it states that the respective merger committees are supposed to be autonomous from the MEC. All the MEC did was select the members and they are not supposed to give orders to the committee. I think to blame it on the 9E MEC would be unfair when you dont know the details on how the policy is intended to work. The 9E and 9L merger committees dont have a single MEC member on it which is how its supposed to work. XJ's Merger Committee Chair is also their MEC Vice Chair. Hard to be autonomous when you have MEC reps on the committee

Well, it looks like Mr. Bloch is going to make us all wait till the very last minute. I can't imagine that he is still working on it, so why not just release it so we can all move on with our lives????
 
I heard that us pilots might not see anything until Wednesday because the mecs have to review it. I would hope they would at least give us a brief summary before all us pilots go crazy
 
Everything's done at close of bidness Friday...that way you can't barrage the HQ with angy phone calls, emails, etc...remember way back when they announced that there would be no company-sponsored Christmas parties? Five PM Friday...sorry, there's no one to take your call....
