That is a good point. I wish that prime steakhouses could give you a steak that is not 16oz. I would not eat 16oz steak at home, so WTF should I try and act like a big fat pig out on the road.
Most people look at it that you eat something at a restaurant what you normally not eat at home.

you guys need to get out more and see that this whole country is rediculously obese.

We got a call for a 405lb lady to go in our Air Am the other day!

.....as for me I've been fat...lost the weight...never goin back.

Yah, flew with this one dude that couldnt wear the shoulder harness he was so fat. Dunno how he did it when he got line checked....is there an extender for the shoulder harness part too? Maybe he's got one of those.

Anyway, we Americans are outrageoulsy fat. Just go to any buffet in Vegas or anywhere for that matter and just watch these pie wagons load up like it's not gonna be there 30 minutes from now. I saw theeeee fattest chk I have ever seen at The Golden Corral. That was NOT cool....almost lost my appetite. The dessert tray there is bigger than the regular hot food section is and is swarming with folks who shouldnt even think of being there.

A couple of years ago there was a story in an ALPA magazine about a book called BODY FOR LIFE by Bill Philips. Fantastic book, since then I have lost 30 lbs. If anyone is serious about not only weightloss but living a healthy lifestyle this book is for you.

It so bad that it is discussed at the interviews with the NetJets Candidates.

Funny how NetJets discusses weight in the interview and then sends crew food full of Cookies, Crackers, Muffins and a small fruit cup. I'm glad I don't work there.

Hey Rocker...What's you do in Vegas...stays in Vegas!!!!!

I know there must be more to that story!!!!!!

Yah, your right DO-82. If you eat 10 LBS of food for lunch in Vegas, that REALLY should stay down there....I agree. But, eating that same amount of food if not more at Dennys somewhere in Maine is OK to talk about! Thats because it does happen!

Wait, the golden corral thing was somewhere in KS. She REALLY could put down some food and I finally had decided that was the last time that I was going to go out with her....your right, I forgot about that part.

I thought the only reason why you took her to the Golden Coral was because had 2 for 1 coupons!!!!!!

I can send you donw a nice skinny one if you want. Complete with 3 goats and 2 chicken as a gift from her father.

Mmmmm, but werent you about to smack her boyfriend at a grocery store once? IS that the chk that your talking about? I dont know bout them kinds....think I even wrote a piece or 2 about THEM. So, I sure do appreciate your offer though but think I am going to have to pass!

There is a denny's in maine? :)

No self respecting mainer would go to denny's when Governor's is available.

Ha!

I only lived there; I wasn't a native. But as often as I spent the night in PQI before we pulled out, I felt like a local some nights. :D

Yup. It's been many years, but I'm pretty sure the one up in PQI (next to the palatial Northeastland Hotel [ugh]) had the train running, too. Not to mention snowmobiles in the parking lot!

PWM closed down and its now a Ruby Tuesday.....not as many senior citizen now because the Weds. Special of all you can eat chickne livers and bread pudding was taken off the menu. I know Rocker must have enjoyed a slice of strawberry pie from the Governors in LEW.

Of course now that had to add roasted goat and toasted Somali grub worms to the menu to attract some new customers.

Kind of smells fun too when you walk in the place now.....

Wait, I was recently at Governors in PWM....it's closed now? Train was running full steam ahead and everything! Mmmmm. Yah, I can see that we would need to add the cultural grub there to cater to the new arrivals. I just dont think that Governors was taking food coupons and lost a little business as a result. But they can all flock to hannafids and get some goodies for free while us folks stare in disbelief. Makes yah wanna kick some azz! I'm sure yah 10/4 that feeling there 82! Oh, I'm just kiddn and all but I am right there withya brothah! I probably would have taken out my editorial (which I always carry with me in ME) and let them have a look see at my little masterpiece and what I really think of em!

Was that the one in the mall? Or was it always Ruby Tuesdays there? I'm talking about the one thats on broadway I think? That one close too?

Huh?

The only thing food-related I remember from my interview was the two giant trays of sandwiches and giant tray of cookies that was brought in for us to snack on all afternoon. Then, as one of the last to head out to the airport, J.M. insisted that we each take a couple to munch on during our flights home!

Guess I see the root of the problem... :D

That was just the left over catering from a flight earlier that day.

I would like to see buscuits and gravy on our menu. yummmmmmmmmmmmmm

You can allways go across the street to Marks Topless Donut shop now that Governors PWM is closed. :)

The BGR one has a Train i've spent a few hungover mornings in it eating the big breakfast sandwich meal. Mmmmmmmm Also the one in Orono has a train and is right next to the "dome". So does the one in Waterville. :)

82 knows so much about restaurants because he's been to every single one in maine. :)

Oh and LEW too. :)

Diesel, you think that 82 is going to change his menu to cater to some of the new locals coming in? Perhaps some delicious ethnic food will dominate his new menu. I think that he will have to shove his italian specialties aside and make way for the new here!

Marks yah say. Yup, a good replacement for Governors. I am thinking that there could be a different kind of train THERE.

Well, I'd have to say part of your problem is that your were at The Golden Corral...good god man! WTF are you doing there? Talk about slumming...LOL

I've lost 20 pounds this year, I've never been "obese" mind you, but I really began to notice the road weight after a while. The problem is this whole "food budget" thing we have, if you don't use it you lose it so we all, stupidly, feel like we have to eat...dumb I know.

.

Yah, your right...except that it was really close to FSI and with only an hour to eat, thought it would be OK. And as it turned out...it wasnt!
