OH yea and fried goodies on the concierge level most definitely cause this phenomena AKA Porkypilot syndrome.

 Praytell the proclivity to perpetuate the propensity for Porky pilots?

:cartman: :smash:

Saying its FSI, hotels, whoever is at fault is like blaming guns for crime. You gotta eat that stuff to get fat. Put the donut down, skip the cookies at Signature, etc.

Put down the pork

"That bacon's not gonna eat itself!"

:D

:cartman:

Please pass the pork and portend the PORKY PILOT POSSE!

The only thing worse than porky pilot syndrome is goatee-sportin' aviator. Combine the two and we got a sight.

Dine on your daily donut.

ATTENTION cardiologists! Business will be improving soon, as newly riche pilots eat their big raises. After the MI you will get your medical back after the near death experience but.....

TRANSFAT AIRWAYS will still hire you!

The problem isn't just unhealthly foods, portions have gotten way out out of control. You don't need to completely fill the entire plate! Eat small potions, more often. Healthy snacks are very important so you're not starving and overeat come dinnertime. Ask a nutrionist. Another problem is that when the company provides the food, you seem to think it's part of your pay, so if you don't eat as much as possible, you feel like you're getting ripped off. My problem isn't the food, it's the beer!

Portions are ridiculous. I subscribe to the self-control issue too. However, having had a period in my childhood when we were poor, and I mean POOR, I have an aversion to wasting food. I wish they'd all use a sensible size meal. But then again, the 400 lb club would claim starvation...

I mentioned this on another board, but I'll mention it here, too: The Bahama Breeze restaurants have a lot of their dishes available in two portion sizes. The big one is huge like everywhere else, but the smaller size is close to a normal dinner portion. It's 2/3 the cost, and a perfect size. Worth checking out if there's one near you.

That is a good point. I wish that prime steakhouses could give you a steak that is not 16oz. I would not eat 16oz steak at home, so WTF should I try and act like a big fat pig out on the road. At the same time, I also hate to waste food, but unfortunatly 90% of the time that is what I end up doing.
