I saw a recent post by our illustrious leader to get out and vote and I thought he might be finally addressing the crew food issue...not the quality, but the quantity some of you guys and girls are eating!!

For crying out loud, y'all look like a bunch of Eagles fans celebrating the downing of TO with a face full of cheese steak sandwich!

You're fat!! Get on that dang hotel treadmill!!

ummm what? Did someone start drinking again?

Diesel,

C'mon Man! You haven't noticed, we're looking like a bunch of trailer park trash lately. Can't we lift our presentation to the client just a little?

I've never seen so many fat people in my life as here at Netjets!

It so bad that it is discussed at the interviews with the NetJets Candidates.

But if they are senior to you, don't you WANT the flight attendant to keep sending those double cheeseburgers to the cockpit? We have one or two that will look like unmade beds no matter what, so why not help them down the Hypertension Highway?

Huh?

The only thing food-related I remember from my interview was the two giant trays of sandwiches and giant tray of cookies that was brought in for us to snack on all afternoon. Then, as one of the last to head out to the airport, J.M. insisted that we each take a couple to munch on during our flights home!

Guess I see the root of the problem... :D

Glad to hear NetJets is an equal opportunity employer. LOL. I'm overweight and am going to be applying there in two months.

Seriously, though, you guys are right. A lot of us need to eat better and exercise more, including myself. It can get out of control too easily. I'm trying to lose 20 pounds before the interview.

I do not know about fat NetJet pilots, but I have seen a rash of fat pilots in general lately (airline as well as corp/frac).

Not exactly the professional image that we should try and keep. In fact it is downright embarassing. Just because there is bacon and eggs at the buffet every morning does not mean that you have it eat it!

you guys need to get out more and see that this whole country is rediculously obese.

We got a call for a 405lb lady to go in our Air Am the other day!

.....as for me I've been fat...lost the weight...never goin back.

Ahhh I guess Hawkered is talking about the freshman 15.

Or maybe he just likes fattys.

Guess I need to find a fleet that actually gives me enough time in a hotel to find a treadmill!!! Maybe the 400?

Hahahahaha!!!!

Good thread!

I'm flying with a guy overseas in the Ultra that has to reach down and grab his boot to get his leg over the pedastal to get in.

He paid to have a flight suit made for himself because the military doesn't make them that big.

Our primary customer (a general) told his aid he doesn't even want him flying him.

He's a discrace. The military weight control programs are pretty well out the window.

The Air Force is even worse then the Army!

I agree with the other poster, it's everyone in the US. You should see the people overseas, there are nowhere near the fatties as in the states. (well maybe except for those fat little Kuwaities (hahahah, couldn't help it)

For what it's worth, the Navy is still ad-sep'ing people if they are over body fat for 3 cycles (18 months).

When we go back from Europe, I put on an extra 10-15 pounds just because I wasn't walking as much (the base at Naples was built as a "walking base," and there are/were stairs every where, including 2 flights in our house) and because of all the fast food that is available here. I finally got the weight back off - it just takes a little extra effort and attention to what you are eating and your activity level. That and steping on the scale every morning to keep yourself in check!!!!

We ain't got no stairs!

All we have is KBR messhalls that happily pile on all the food you want.

My buddy and I were talking last night about this.

We have had to tell this guy to "wipe his face" more then the rest of the unit combined. (food remnants on his face).

I eat all the raw vegatables I can get (hard to screw up raw vegatables).

He will pile the ******************** on and be done eating before I get halfway done.

Did I mention that he has detroyed 2 chairs in our office? The ones that are left "list" to the right.

He wrecked the floor in the bathroom, and has personally wrecked at least 2 toilet seats.

I could go on and on. I'm just talking abou the weight, not even performance.

Take care,

Actually, we appreciate you not going further into detail. Seriously. ;)
