To continue, ALL humans seek an altered state of consciousness. Even children. This can be evidenced by their activities in a playground. Swings, poles, bars, merry-go-rounds, etc. Frantic head spinning to achieve a dizziness an adult would colllapse from. Kids too, seek an elemental high in the form of an altered state of mind. They like the escape from reality. As adults, we consume whats legal, such as alcohol to escape. This puts us in an altered state of mind as well. No different. Humans have been seeking a high since the dawn of time.

Everyone in this world has a vice. Whether it be drugs, aerobatics, gambling, stealing, etc. We all need a rush and obtain it in one way or anther.

The fact that is legal to brew your own Beer at home kind of shoots a whole in your argument.

Not true. A small brewery in your own home would cost $100,000, its not practical, therefore the government knows they will not be losing millions upon millions in taxes from people doing this in their homes and selling it on the streets. Plus, its too easy to buy a 6-pack in the store than pay the much higher prices private people would have to charge for their own home brews.

Simple business logic.

Pot can be grown FOR FREE with the thousands of seeds that are in just one bag of dope. Its FREE, its EASY, and its great quality. The government would lose their azzes and it would be out of control in one month after becoming legal.

It may also have something to do with the fact tat second hand pot smoke can effect others.

Wrong again.....Second hand smoke from cigerettes has been KILLING thousands of non-smokers each year from lung, throat and mouth cancer. And its pretty simple, there are smoking areas everywhere in this country now, no restaurants allow it anymore, airlines don't allow it anymore, so second hand smoke really does not matter anymore.

And I'd much rather have a contact buzz than cancer from some nasty azz toxic cigerette smoke.

BTW, a restaurant you may have heard of, "HOPS", tried making and selling their own mico-brewed beer with their own brewery's in each of their restaurants. They had to pay the government taxes on all the beer they sold.

They are either out of business after just a few years or going out of business. It doesn;t work.

Point is, if someone sets up a $100,000 brewery, they will be paying tax either way. Or they have to hide a big azz brewery and then try to illegally sell it to the public. Zero practicality. Selling pot is a cake walk.

You are way off base. Wild guesses with no basis in reality.

Deaths by Marijuana are about 0.01% of users. A small percentage to be sure.

Deaths by Alcohol are about 0.004% of users, but that number is skewed high because it also includes anyone killed in an alcohol related accident, regardless of use.

I think when people are dying, stats just make a person sound stupid. 50,000 dead people compared to maybe 10, each year, is a pretty big difference.

And out of those 50,000, there are a ton of innocent people who get killed because of the drunk driving losers.

And if pot was made legal, I'm sure the number of deaths would decrease from 10 to maybe 2, because 8 of them were probably killed due to a bad drug deal..... lol

Thats true, taking drugs is natural and its been done since the caveman days. Its government that made illegal. Doesn't mean its bad, its just what they've done for their own reasons, and it always points to $$$.

Just like steroids. The government would make it legal if enough people did it so they can make enough money from it. Only a handful of people SUPPOSEDLY die each year (like 3) from steroids, but only an estimated 4 million people in the USA take steroids, so its just not worth their effort to legalize it and then control it. But cigerettes, HUGE tax dollars, who cares about the 10's of thousands that die from it each year, while killing thousands of non-smokers along the way, hurting fetuses, making children sick, and just simply disgusting the rest of us non-smokers.

What a pathetic way of thinking our idiot goverment has, eh! But we are the richest country in the world. Yippie!

Another reason most governments prohibit drug use is because it interferes with their mind control efforts. Drugs expand and alter your thinking, which can be a dangerous thing to the permanency of the political elite.

The gov't is more than happy to have us eager for the next CD or music album to drop, movie to see, gossip to listen and read about, Ipod to buy, etc.

We are kept distracted from the real important issues with diversions.

The best thing for the gov't is to keep the people dumb and not thinking.

Are you high now? Because I just gave you the death numbers and marijuana kills 250% more users than alcohol does, as a percentage. Put down the dubbie and step away from the bong.
