so obviously it's easier to give up aircraft then buy them. ie - getting rid of the 200s and getting 100's... are we going to lose the 200s and slowly get 100s? We have what 9 or 12 200s? You don't suppose they'll let some pilots go will you?

We have 8 -200s left right now. All the 200s will not be replaced by 100s. Some 100 leases will be extended to cover that flying and maybe 2 or 3 old PDT/ALG -100s that have been parked for 2 years will come back online.

Don't let them fool you guys. Our fleet is still shrinking, do the math. 57 to 55 to 53 to 52 aircraft flying revenue. That is a shrinking fleet.

In mid 2001 PDT had 82 Dash 8s on certificate and ALG was around 50. 130 plus dash 8s and now it will soon be down 52. There has not been any growth at PDT/ALG in over 4 years now, what makes any of you think that this trend is changing?

Actually there hasn't been any growth on the ALG side since prior to Suburban/Penn merger in what was it 1993 or something. After that merger there was supposed to be a combined fleet of 55 aircraft. Hoever all the Shorts and 1900's went away (1900's to Mesa/Florida Gulf) and for many years they were left with 37 (give or take a few) Dash 8's.

When I slid to MDA in 7/2004 ALG was supposed to take 18 to 22 aircraft to PDT.

They are getting rid of the 200's, so when the 400's come on line we won't have to learn numbers for 4 types of Dash's!!! Lol-------->Theres a rumor to start!!!

200 leases are too expensive, but the 400 leases won't be, right.

Island Air put in an order for 8 400s, yet a nother missed opportunity by Piedmont. By the time PDT puts an order in, after Hell has frozen over, there should be at least 100 back orders and a 4 year wait.

It was a joke! Anyway, your right! The only way we get 400's is if some 3rd world nations flies the crap out of them!
I heard when we got the 300's that Bombard. Engineers lost there lunch when they saw the condition that some of them were in!!
