WHAT GIVES?!! They just let go of the center director in DVT!
Can you give the name of that person? If not, maybe the initials? I was curious if it was the same one that was there when I atteneded.

From what I have heard, PA is doing everything they can to make the transition to DVT as painless/seamless as possible. When it was announced, everyone at the Ft. Pierce campus was given a 10% discount on the remaining portion of their training, whether they decided to move to DVT or not. If someone does not want to move, they are being let out of their contract, and will not be charged the $2000. If they do decide to move, an additional 5% will be knocked off their training. Any instructor that is under contract with the international students is being let out of their contract, so that they can move on to an airline job, and are not being forced to move to DVT. Instructors are being offered jobs at the Pennsylvanial campus if DVT is out of the question. Instructors are being offered "moving assistance" if they do decide to come to DVT.

That is all I know for now...

PanAm claims to prepare you for the airlines... maybe base relocation is now a part of flight training.. getting those 20 yr olds ready for the constant domicile changes when they become 300 hr FO's. :p
