That is what I have hear as well. Fins I am going to send you something. I think that you will get a laugh.

FDJ have you heard anything. Tried calling the reps and there seems to be no one home.

Quite a few reps are out flying. With regards to some of the ATL reps I know TP is in SCL and SU is in Johannesburg..

I can't comment too much other than reiterate that consolidation is still a real possibility.

With regards to the often discussed, rarely seen, transaction framework agreement, like I've said before, get use to hearing "that was than, this is now." IMO the best time to maximize our returns on a potential merger has probably come and gone.

If there is a merger it will be difficult to negotiate the same deal.

If there is a merger the timeline will be much shorter than before for reaching a deal.

Management at DAL still gets it that in order to maximize the value of a merger and improve the possibility of its success the DAL pilots will have to support the transaction. We'll see what happens.

I can't comment on NWA management and whether or not they feel it's important to bring their pilots along at the inception of a merger.

We think it is, but IMO, that's between NWA management and NWALPA.

Idiot(s) at it ALL day long

How about posting the link? I just went to Charles Schwab and didn't find anything about the merger.

Jim

AS HAS ALREADY BEEN STATED: IT IS APRIL FOOLS DAY :smash: and the children (or child who hasn't stopped posting back and forth to his screen names all day), are showing what fools do on this day. Similar threads on every board, every topic...just this one is more motivated to talk amongst themselves in an attempt to make the absurd, believable. More DL vs NW bs for the rest of us to be glad we're elsewhere for once.

Did you really mean to call me an idiot? Of course I know what day it is. That is why I asked for the link.

No, it was not in reference to you, rather the same 2 or 3 screen names that have been having these inane "conversations" with each other about the imaginary "news. " Kind of lost the humor after the first 12 hours of the little boy game.

Your info is wrong. Steenland gets 8mil if he just walks away, merger or not. If he stays he gets 20mil in 4 years, that is somewhat tied to performance. With a merger, I am not sure. Do NWA employees like this? No. I would give him his 20mil and have him walk tomorrow....

I would expect something to happen soon. Steeland needs his lotto winnings - he will sell his soul to the DEVIL to get the cash before his window closes in June. He's really motivated now.... Can you imagine the grovelling he will be doing to ensure his big pay day? "C'mon Dick, please, please, pleeeeeaaaaseeee. I want a bigger lake house!!! Screw the employees. I'll even let you and your kids borrow the lake house whenever you want..."

Voice of Reson:

Everyone knew the original post was a joke, but some serious discussions sprung up in between.

Is this the largest airline merger in aviation history? It has to be close and with 11,000+ pilots involved, it is rumor worthy.
