Anyone know any details on why the AC would not rotate?
I'm assuming (given the aircraft and the inspection panels that were removed from it) that the tail was not in the Take Off position, but what happened to cause no annunciators in the cockpit that the crew "should have" saw prior to the take off roll?

I'm not one to give out company information , MatthewJohn, but since I have a little knowledge on this incident.....

...you aren't even close.... and it is none of your freakin' business.

Sorry to be so blunt, but I want to make sure that no incidents are compromised at my company until the right time.
And that time is not now.

Warmest regards,

I'm sorry to hear that your concern for safety is limited to your company. And yes it is my business since I operate the exact same airplanes. I might not be in the "club", but we as pilots have a professional obligation to keep each other safe.

BTW, it was not a tail issue. Although it was some kind of flight control malfunction. Thank goodness they were on an 11K rynway!

Trust me, at the appropriate time, the information will be given out. Until then it is confidential company information until it is released publically.
This is to safeguard both the crews and company and as not to violate privacy agreements.

I will say this, if it were to be an issue that would be fleet wide, world wide, they will send the info out through the correct channels, not this public bitch board.
Please again accept my apology for being blunt, but our peers need to know that this forum is not the place to discuss it.

Are you f-ing kidding me? This has got NOTHING to do with Netjets.....I could care less if this aircraft was serving as AF1, this could be a safety related issue.

I fly an Excel, and I would love to know if this was some mechanical problem I could check for so I don't end up throwing my airplane off the end of a short strip. For god's sake, get over yourself.

If you don't want to give out safety related information about a topic....just keep your mouth shut. If you don't know the answer, which I suspect you don't, don't say anything.

It is pure coincidence that it was a QS tail that it happened to. No one is asking for the deepest darkest secrets of NJA miantenance....we are just trying possible keep this from happened to someone that doesn't have 11K feet to stop....because that someone might be me.

O2B,
We have had loose lips here already violate some confidentiality statements concerning owners and other subjects on this public board, this is what I am trying to avoid. Also, overspeculation can be damaging to the crewmembers moral who were involved if they are reading this, which may be the case. It can also lead to false information and to incorrect assumptions.
If you cant accept that, fine, call me a donkey's posterior , tell me to get over myself, and I wont bat an eyelash. I wont care about your opinion nor others....I was blunt for a reason.
I will say this, when the information gets out, if it gets out, it is very eye opening. I do know what happened, i have seen the evidence, and I am damned glad all you excel pilots know your Sheit.
And that is that. No more on this topic from HSF.

If you are truly worried about the "loose lips" violating anything, just don't say anything. Its just that simple. Act like you never saw the question to begin with. No one in management will ever yell at you for being silent.

I never called you a Donkey's anything, nor would I. The reason you were blunt is because you want the world to know that you work for NJA and you are in the know. Your bluntness was unnecessary and unprofessional. If you want to get your point accross a simple "I believe this to be official NJA business and I cannot comment on it. Any information you recieve here should be considered speculative at best."

If you can't manage even that level of professionalism, kindly do not post at all.

He did apologize for being blunt.

He is in "the know".

And I agree with his discretion. At this point in time it is company info and for the well being of the crew nothing more should be said on the matter. I'm an XL pilot at NJA and I never heard anything about it except here, and for now that is fine with me. Let the union and the company cross their t's and dot their i's. If it was me in that cockpit, that is exactly what I would want.

We could have a plane and crew abducted by aliens and we wouldn't know about it until the new "safety presentation" @ company recurrent.

Dude. Get PC. Its the undocumented, not aliens. No one is an alien. And it was consensual, not an abduction.

If you are truly worried about the "loose lips" violating anything, just don't say anything. I didnt, Iam worried someone else will .Its just that simple. No, It is not. Not in a public forum. Act like you never saw the question to begin with. Until someone drunken posts what the cause was before release by the company or other agencies, hence why I posted. No one in management will ever yell at you for being silent. They yell at me for other things, mostly in my defense of pilots.

I never called you a Donkey's anything, nor would I. No, you didnt, added because I am sure you thought it..The reason you were blunt is because you want the world to know that you work for NJA Absolutely 110% incorrect, Sir. I am proud, but I dont need to beat my chest, people familar with me know I am NJA,and know what I do. Doesnt mean I think I am better or worse,NJA isjust who pays my check, I am loyal to my peers. Truthfully, that even means you, too, the one who persecutes me. If you needed my help, I'd be there quicker than you could say "HSF is a loudmouth NJA guy in the know." Just my makeup, I guess. and you are in the know. Guilty by association, part of volunteering. Your bluntness was unnecessary and unprofessional. NO, it set the bar and no one will accidentally spill confidential info now. If you want to get your point accross a simple "I believe this to be official NJA business and I cannot comment on it. Any information you recieve here should be considered speculative at best." I'll give you this, I used the shotgun method, didnt think it over for 24 hours. It is what it is, and I didnt think like you did. Mea Maxima Culpa.
If you can't manage even that level of professionalism, kindly do not post at all. I will take it under advisement, O2B, but I probably will keep posting, much to your chagrin.

OK, I lied, one more post......

Oh, I did not realize you were out to save the entire pilot group. I thought they were all adults and could talk ( or not talk) for themselves. My bad, good thing they have you.

For the record, I never called you, or thought of calling you, any names what so ever. I am not sure why you keep going back to that one. I resent the implication. Please keep you comments confined to the subject at hand.

Like you said, I am finished with this argument. Its obvious we have different views on the situation.

If anyone has valuable SAFETY RELATED information about this. I would urge you to do what you can to get it out to everyone else flying XL/XLS. I am asking no one to compromise their jobs. If this is a mechanical issue, lets get some info out so someone doesn't run another airplane off the end of RWY6 at TEB.

FWIW, it IS part of his job to speak for the pilots. It is one of the perks of working in a union shop.

I know HSF well, and am VERY glad we have him.

Fisch,

My issue with this is in the way that he chose to get involved.

In his initial post he stated "and it is none of your freakin' business." I mean come on....they guy asked a simple question. There was no reason for that type of response...especially from a union representative.

I am not out to defame him, the union, or Netjets.

Whatever the problem with that XL/XLS turns out to be, I am glad no one got hurt. 1 million kudos to the pilots for that. If it is something that can be fixed, I hope the NJA makes that information public as soon as possible so there is no repeats.
